anyone experience tyre cracking after time?

i have a RC car despite using harder rubber already all 4 tyres cracked at 1 end, i think the tyre shrunk thus the crack.

am wondering whether it will happen on 1/43 & 1/18 softer tyres, even if they don't sit on the tyres. do you guys use tyre wax? i heard it protects but also damages the rubbers on real tyres.

replacing toy tyres would be harder than replacing real tyres.

anyone bought Autoart FD-3S Initial D? delay so long finally in stock, too bad i can't buy as it's over rm500 with current exchange rate. too bad since i always wanted a FD-3S.

the Initial D rim doesn't look as nice as the normal autoart version. should have bought the normal version back before GST.

Really wanted to get a 1/18 S30 from Ignition model, but price so expensive.

both the S30, S30 Lights with cover & HS30 looks great, and different colors come with different rims.

Devil Z is up for order:

http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/review?sc...-60128&page=top

any local shops carrying at reasonable price?

user posted image

but not really sure which version it's based on.

Manga doesn't have front light covers, no front license plates, no bolts on the sides above the wheels, while cartoon has bolts, license plates & no light covers. but non had such obvious intercooler. Movie version is similar to cartoon but with Z logo at front.

not sure about the Arcade version.

Hi friends,
I was wondering how do u take care of the rubber tyres from deteriorating?

Thanks
*
apply tyre polisher.

keep car away from heat & humid & sunlight.

keep weight off the wheels by using a stand or stack something below to lift car.

never have rubber come in prolong contact with other plastic/rubber materials like plastic base/table/casing.

PM me price for the brickcase too. Any other sizes available? Maybe for smaller models?
*
if you on budget Daiso rm15 or was it rm20 casing fits most 1:18 cars, but obviously not as nice looking as hand made cases. good if you looking for cheap alternatives for your not so important cars.

a carbon fiber sticker on the base improves the looks alot.

There aren't any casings in Daiso that can accommodate 1:18 models. Been to so many outlets around the Klang Valley havent seen one to date.
*
there is 1 long type. rm15 or rm20 or was it rm30. i have used it on NSX & CLK they fit nicely with some space left on the width. Length wise definitely fits all cars.

not all outlets sell >rm5 items. But i'm sure K-Avenue has them. next to the counter. Sungei Wang should also have near entrance. The curve last time got. check the case for cracks when you buy.

if you buy many make sure you remove the plastic bag & don't stack it with other plastic/rubber. i got 1 didn't use put something on top of it, after a while the plastic bag left a layer on the casing, can't be removed and doesn't look nice but wasted to throw away so just put Kyosho car inside.

there are shops that sell acrylic shoe boxes from Thailand if you prefer a more squarish case. around rm20 for shoe box, rm30++ for non-shoe box. Difference is shoe box got 4 small holes on each side you can stick a tape to cover them and smaller abit. just make sure put a piece of paper at bottom to avoid plastic/rubber fusion with the car.

Yeah Diecast Empire is currently the worse place to buy dc models now. Price got ridiculous, and stock also takes forever to reach Malaysian shores.  Those solo FB sellers that sell only via facebook store are much cheaper.
*
service also wayang only. never follow up with suppliers regarding missing parts.

I only bought from diecastempire before..
Currently very tempted on the aa Porsche 918
Anymore trustworthy local seller who can deliver fast?
*
i hear now they raised the duty impose to rm1.2k? if it's true then you can import most of the autoart cars from Japan and even with 100yen = rm4 it's still much cheaper to ship here using SAL compared to local shops.

amiami is a good place to get 1:18 diecast.

the highest price i paid for diecast was the AA bugatti veyron supersport (RM800)... hopefully 918 never go beyond 1k
the minichamp 918 is still at subpar level(sorry if u bought it, just my little 2cent)
thanks for the recommendation rclxm9.gif
do you know any guy who help importing AA from Japan? I feel like too risky to buy things oversea. What if the car arrived broken here and there... Thanks for your recommendation as well!

you can continue buying from local sellers.

like i said, buying from diecast empire doesn't guarantee 100% problem free and they never follow up with vendors.

but from exp Japanese shops generally take lots of care in packing their item. if normal autoart you can request they check the car. if signature it's stored in foam so it should be no damage. if there is serious defects they will handle your issue properly.

if you want local to help import, be prepared to pay 10% premium at least. i wouldn't even bother for rm50 to import something rm500 because there's other risks involved. for local big importers, they get distributor price and their margin is higher and any issue they can deal with their distributors.

but for personal use, buying direct from Japan is a good option. they also get faster stocks.

I don't think all active on facebook. Most of the old timer had slow down and may be totally stop collect 1/18 alrdy. Just a few years autoart price shoot up like rocket, from rm400 to rm900....nowaday life is difficult. 1/18 diecast hobby no longer a friendly hobby tat everyone can effort. Any one here have hands on the latest Autoart LP-750? Mind to share to review?

https://www.carloverdiecast.com/collections...1-18-by-autoart

seems like a bunch of Chinese doing it, can be controlled by apps too...

wow...this one self-customised?
*
they are customizer service provider & also diecast dealer. not cheap to customize 1/18 car, the price tag is just for the modding, diecast you provide or buy from them.

can remote control with Android or special controller card.

to get those signal lights to flash in syn you need a small circuit, not just put LED in.

modding headlights & rear are easy but the smaller interior LED and circuit is difficult. not sure how they drill the holes without damaging it though.

I want to wipe the steering of a 1/18 also difficult.
