That one is just a side quest... not Main quest.

think u did see the wrong one...the quest there suppose to give u a gold play icon...the lvl 19 red color is for general materia quest and ur class lvl should be < 19 that is y u saw red and lock...

I see a number of issues with PS3 controller, specially where PvP is concerned. The targeting system of the gamepad presents some serious issues when trying to attack multiple targets. I have tried to engage 3 targets at the same time while I'm surrounded by multiple enemies (4+) and I must say I had a very difficult time doing it, something that seems extremely easy when using a keyboard. I just dont see how someone will be able to cycle thru targets using your left hand on the crossbar while at the same time trying to move your character with the analog button(which you move also with your left hand).

What are your thoughts?

anyone playing on ps3? I received my game yesterday, and after all installation, the launcher need to be update around 2.5gb

with the streamyx speed it took about 5hours.
It is a long hours and sometime in between the connection is somehow interrupted. And man...I have to redownload all over again from the beginning. @@

this happened 3 times already. I thought with launcher, you are supposed to be able to continue where you left it? Thats what usually happened with WOW on PC.

If this persist, it almost impossible for me to play this game. any thought guys?

guys, any tip how to level up blacksmith quickly? I can level up armorsmith and easily by making hq ingots, but I'm at level 10 on BSM and I can only produce bronze ingot :c

Targeting with keyboard and mouse is tough also sometimes, for some reason mouse clicking doesn't seems to be registering sometimes. I suppose you will have to do mob marking.

you're at the stage of updating 2.5GB means you have registered account and linked. good.

The download should occur from within the launcher, and should be automatically resumable. i.e. it will continue where it last stopped. Don't depend on the progress bar as it will actually calculate based on how many gb remaining. i.e. initial 2gb, if u have done 50% then logoff when u resume the total left to download will show 1gb but the progress bar will show it starting back from 0%. So you might be mistaken that it starts from the beginning.

But everytime my connection interrupted, when i restart the launcher it show 0mb/2504mb all over again.
and when i download let say after 100mb it will still show 100mb/2504mb.

I have reached roughly 2000mb/2504mb twice now when the interuption on the internet happened. And start from 0/2504mb all over again

Are you on PS3 platform as well?

that is weird. i didn't encounter that. Mine was slow but smooth sailing . resumed 3 times but was all ok.

I also have this problem though I am using a software to enable me to use the PS3 controller on the PC version. Cycling through enemies is a complete pain sometimes especially in the heat of battle and Fates where huge mobs run in and attack.

You could be attacking one enemy and have another jump you which is a more immediate threat and yet you have to first CANCEL the initial first enemy you targeted BEFORE commencing the new attack on the (often nearer and more dangerous) enemy in front of you.

Having to remember to click L1 + O in the heat of battle is also a nuisance when a simple mouse button will suffice. I highly suggest the developers enabling an 'Attack Mode Cursor' button where clicking on said button will enable a locked camera and then a cursor for the R stick.

This enable you to select the target you want temporarily with the cursor. Clicking the button again will resume your settings to pre-battle. What do you think guys?

Im on PC, best to off the current Target Filter, and enable Target Customization instead.

Yeah it is weird. I thought the ps3 version launcher cant resume when download. if yours can, then something wrong with mine then.

And now maintenance. Unable to download at all.
