go with the one ur comfortable...
since it is crossplatform, no worries about meeting ppl from PC or PS3...
some buy both so that when they want to play on PC they just log on PC and when they want to lay back play with controller the play on PS3...
since it uses the same account... no problem playing on both lol...
in the end it is all up to u on whether u like playing on which platform more...

no the NA and EU all can play together...
the difference is later on subscription payment method...
meaning if u plan on using topup card... better make sure if u buy the NA , get an NA topup card and vice versa...
also if u plan on paying via Crysta, to purchase Crysta, u use a Credit or Debit card... so the NA will charge using USD while the EU will charge in pounds or euros not sure...
so is all up to u biggrin.gif
those are the only difference...
gameplay wise is all same... same server and all... so happy gaming thumbup.gif

Hi everyone, sorry if this have been ask, I've been planning to get ffxiv on my pc, just wanted to know some details on which server should I choose? all the details including the subscription fee and the billing instruction would be really appreciated, cause on the website is alil bit confusing, also I would like to know whether the game is good or bad? will it worth your time or don't waste money at all? whats the gameplay like? will leveling be hard? is the community great, how long you guys have been playing this game etc and all kinds of stuff if you could provide...

thanks alot! im gonna buy soon sooo US or EU version? I heard US has alot of restriction however EU subs price is higher because of the currency, so I need to ask the experts will there be any differences, or hardly or do I need to choose properly before I make my purchase? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

1) server will depend... since we are in Asia region. most of us are playing JP server for better Ping. for an exact server name, better browse the ff14 ARR thread and see which u like. as for me, i am on Tonberry server, theres alot of msians there as well as english speaking players, so got not problems biggrin.gif

2) whether the game is good or bad is entirely up to the person that plays it. each ppl has their own opinion. as for me, i love the game. nice dungeons , nice mechanics, nice story , even the side quests are nice , and graphics very nice.

3) the leveling in the game is fairly easy as it lets u level every class in one character.

4) ive been playing for roughly 7 months now i think and still planning to play for a very long time icon_rolleyes.gif

5) buying EU or US entirely up to u. some here are playing on EU cuz the EU topup card is kind of easy to get here. as for me, i am playing using US and paying my subscription via Crysta. the Crysta i topup using my debitcard.

hope this helps u thumbup.gif

24.99 = PC box

29.99 = PC Digital download

I recommend you to get this game via other means and not from SQ Store, as their store is notoriously not entertain country that is not in their support list.

After reading the 1st post but still kind of blur.
Going to get FF Xiv PS4 version, should be US region.
Currently I am using MY PSN, and my SE account is EU which link to my MY PSN.

So which mean if I want to play the PS4 FF XIV US ver., I need to create a US PSN and US SE account? Then link them together so that in future I can use back my char in PC FF XIV US ver too?

Thanks in advance.

If you have EU account and a character, which mean if you do that, you wont be able to use your character anymore.

Because EU account and NA account are two different things.

Nope. Fresh FF XIV player.

Final question. Can I use MY PSN+ to play this game? Cos MY PSN is my main PSN account with PSN+.

that would be a problem, since you are require to use the same PSN region as your Square Enix account to connect. sad.gif so MY PSN is not possible to use
