So yesterday i went to Setia City mall and passes by its Sony centre. Seems like u can pre order your Z1 now, but need to pay a non-refundable 100bucks. And i asked bout the rrp, the salesgirl told me MAYBE 2599. *jawsdrop*

No idea what's their "moderate to heavy usage" but their "moderate to heavy usage" on other Xperia is as follow;
Xperia ZR - 9 hours (LTE on)
Xperia Z - 6 to 8 hours (3G, sometimes LTE on)
Xperia Z Ultra - 8 hours (3G only)

They did mentioned what they mean by "extreme usage" for the Galaxy S4 review.
"The 2,600 mAh battery gives more than enough juice to last you for most of the day. We unplugged the charger with 100% battery at 7am. With Wi-Fi hotspot and LTE turned on plus auto brightness off with intense web browsing, playing Candy Crush for 3 hours and Facebook, Twitter and Instagram turned on, and watching You Tube videos for 4 hours (not straight actually), the battery died at 4:30pm. That’s about 10 hours with extreme usage"

Doesn't matter what technology screen they use la.
My main point is to give the idea of what they mean by "extreme usage" so you got the idea of what is "moderate to heavy usage".

why is Sony Malaysia so different or special from other countries?

No, I didn't say "RRP of Z when ZU is launched". Those RRP that I stated for Z isn't the current RRP, it's RRP way back in March 2013, not the current RRP. My point to compare it to the original RRP of Z is that the Z1 might be priced higher than the original RRP of Z.
The RRP of ZU that I've stated is also the original RRP of each country, not the current one, I have no idea what's their current RRP now too. Again the point to compare to the original RRP is that the RRP of Z1 is placed lower than ZU's original RRP.

Maybe Sony Malaysia will really do something special, time will tell.

a good comparison photo of Z1 and 925 here. at least i can tell 925 produce sharper image, but color reproduction is better in Z1

for camera performance, i think it's better to have comparison photo. individual photo taken, all of them looks good to me. only by comparison can we be sure to tell the good and bad

When I watching in small pic, Xperia Z1 show better and color much accurate also with better light control and I like it.

But I notice it is not the case anymore after I download the full size image, Nokia 925 can produce much sharpen and clear image than Z1, noticeable in that Bus photo and that parking lot. The obvious over processing issue is happening here again's details is gone.


I am not bashing, I just see it in details.

For me details and sharpness is much important, color can easier be change by editing it, but not the blur and not sharp details.

This really proof you are such a Sony fans that denied everything, and you not even read the review.

The reviewer said the Z1 produce much sharpen & details image, but it is not. I not sure how the reviewer can seen the Z1 getting much sharpen & details image. I can only assume the reviewer is base on MP to count the sharpness.

Firstly I am a noob when it comes to taking photos. I am only a point n click photographer.
So give me even a very good camera phone n the pics will not turn up excellent
I have compare all the shots I have taken in all my phones including iphone n seriously I cannot even say exactly which is best. My camera needs are simple : as long it turns up clear n not blur n colors look close to original subject I am already happy. The most I will share is just post on Facebook only.

well you won't know whether there's some stupid marketing guy in  sony who is either too confident with their product or not aware of the current market

although Z1 not meant as a competitor to note 3 but i agree shouldn't price it higher than note 3
