I found the different panel quality of the person post Z1 already, he said all those is pre-production.
Hope final product don't be that many different panel appear. If yes, then Sony phone is given to more manufacture to release it and this look like quality control is not really there.
In general, Z got 2 type panel, Z Ultra got 3 type panel base on user respond.

The display is tack sharp and has great colors too. A weak point for Sony displays used to be poor viewing angles but starting with the Xperia Z Ultra and now the Xperia Z1 Sony has resolved the issue.
The display is still on the glossy side, which hurts its sunlight legibility. We'll have to take it to our lab to get accurate measurements though.
I can only assume different quality panel is display out. Android Police is given the different opinion on it display.

The issue is the viewing angles. As you can see in the photos and, to a lesser extent, the video, at any kind of substantial angle the Z1's display distorts color and brightness in a rather extreme way. Some may not mind, though I personally find this to be a very 2011 sort of problem - no other major Android OEM (LG, Samsung, HTC, Motorola) seems to be having such an issue with display viewing angles. What gives, Sony?

cannot judge based on video. because in some video reviews of xzu the screen seems washed out as well, but in real it actually doesn't seem so
but if it's true XZ1 got different panels, when buying the phone another job to do already. test evry phone for viewing angle issues, if u really mind about it

Just found out the hands-on video by lowyat - Local announcement.
The viewing angle issue also happen there. The phone turn washout start timing from 0:09 onwards.
err... maybe it's just me, but i think it looks ok when he tilted the phone. but at the extreme angle when he showing the speaker, then yes, the colour washout. but who will view the phone at that angle?

Video can be judge.
In my remembrance, never seen such output on XZU video.
Anyway, another month will know, and I will definitely go try out.

I can immediately notice once he turn down the phone, the color is different.
Maybe I am now using same wallpaper, so I can obvious spot the entire screen is much white out. You all can YouTube search Z1 vs Z Ultra, then you will notice the different.
