Dear sifus,

First time jersey buyer here, would like to seek some advice in regards to sizing.

I am quite a big sized guy. My rough measurements is 40" chest, 42" waist, 46" stomach. Based on this, to buy those replica shirts I think my shirt size should be XXL right?

I've went to some stores but they don't have XXL in stock, so I have never tried it on to see if it actually fits. Now, I wish to purchase online but am afraid it might not fit especially after spending so much. Am hoping dear sifus here can advice on the proper size to buy.

Also, can I fit into those XL Grade AAA jerseys?

Thanks

It's very hard to just buy a shirt based on paper measurements. It would be best if you head over a store and try out the size before making any purchases. My measurements on paper fits M but my actual shirt size is S. M is right and gives me a more comfortable fit but S is just right for my body as it accentuates my body shape (i am slightly toned tongue.gif)

Whatever it is, most online stores now provide exchange services due to wrong sizes (ie. 442kit, protechkitzone etc) so you can go ahead and make purchases and if the shirt really does not fit you right, send it back for an exchange.

Just a point to note, we do not condone to jerseys other than authetics.

Hello... want to ask, how to make sure the jersey i bought is an original one?? example: liverpool 2013/14

thanks for ur help smile.gif

maybe you should start by posting some pictures of the shirt but then again it's very hard to differentiate nowadays between fake and authentic. the best bet is purchase one from authorized dealers.

authentic and fake shirts are very price sensitive, if they are priced really low, chances are they are fakes.

Not sure if anyone experienced this before but have anyone here bought anything from UK's online store and chose the standard delivery method (no tracking number)?

I did it for the first time last month because uksoccershop.com offers free standard delivery mail so i thought i could took advantage of it. The website updated that the parcel was delivered on 13/01/2014 however up until todate, I have not received the parcel.

The website quoted that delivery by standard delivery mail would take between 2 to 4 weeks. It's more than 4 weeks now.

Have anyone received their parcel through standard delivery mail after 4 weeks?

i tried before.. same situation & repeated/resent 3 times... took me around 2 months...
in the end, i asked for refund & choose express delivery with tracking number... arrived within a week..  doh.gif

meaning to say, the original parcel which you have chosen to be delivered by standard mail never arrived? shi- sometimes i wonder did our post office employees actually opened up the package and then see the contents of it. if the contents are something to their liking, they would've just put it in their own bag and assumed such parcel never came true.

which online website you made the purchase?

they are willing to refund you despite the fact that there is no prove that the parcel did not arrive after 2 months from the date of delivery?

i think after this time, i'd rather spend that extra money and get an express delivery with tracking numbers. our local post office is just too unreliable.

www.kitbag.com

yes.. the standard mail never arrived.. & i managed to refund fully..
after this case, now i prefer express delivery with tracking number... more reliable & faster...

when the expected arrival date passed, jz try to contact/email them.. then they will request for few working days for inspection..
after that, they will give u few options for solution, such as resent (if stock available), replace (for similar price) or refund..
*
Ah! I bought from uksoccershop.com because kitbag.com doesn't have what i was looking for.

I did contact their customer service and they have asked me to check on my side if the parcel was in my local sorting facility. I told them it's impossible for me to verify with them because there is nothing for them to make reference to.

In any event, i think i will wait for another one month and if it still doesn't arrive, i will request for a resent but this time i will top up the difference for the express delivery to save all the hassle.

I just cannot imagine if i actually paid for the standard delivery mail which is about 10GPB only to find myself with all these mess.

How much does the current Man Utd home jersey cost now? Should be cheaper right now?
*
you won't get the shirt cheaper if you getting it from authorized dealers UNLESS they are official out of season which is not until May 2014.

How about design?why diff?

laugh.gif would appreciate if you could provide us with a better picture quality so that we can at least have a zoom in to better answer your question.

from my observation of the super poor resolution picture in which you have attached, it seems that the visible vertical lines are missing on the right but it could be just due to the poor resolution.

also, the "World Cup Winner" badge is missing on the right one? Seemed to have something replaced it.

OK that mean they're still selling at retail price. Just thought of comparing them. Just got this season's home & last season's home jersey at Nike F.O.S boutique at Bandung for RM131 each.
*
Ah! The Nike's F.O.S.

Not sure how it's done in Bandung but in Malaysia, there's one located in Genting Highlands, indeed their price is much cheaper compared to the retail stores elsewhere however carry mostly off season items. I have not seen on-season items displayed there which is priced cheaper.

So far, the best deal I have gotten there is with my Arsenal's Home 100th Anniversary shirt. A whooping 60% discount rclxm9.gif

I have also managed to get some shoes of them as well, a discount of between RM50 - RM80.00 per pair.

buying online is cheaper though.. But if u are concern about sizing..well from my
past experience buying Puma shirts...their sizes is a little bit different than Nike for example

idk how to explain in detail but Puma M size is like Nike S and M size in between..its like not
bigger than Nike M but not smaller than Nike S
*
It's the cutting. Puma shirts are meant to be slightly body tugging which is why some people may find a size too small, especially at the waist line.

Guys

Why the "T Bar" at the shoulder is long compared to the England Nike Player issue that i have (same season). Appreciate your advice on this.
*
picture of your player issue?

ANYWAY, one cannot assumed that all the shirts are created equal.

where did you purchased it? was it from an authorized seller?

my 2013/2014 Arsenal Away (PI) Shirt has that length of t-bar so i guess it's normal.

the one featured in the picture is mostly not the "end-product".

in any event, i attached hereinbelow a picture of the t-bar from Nike's website and judging from it, yours look in order

I went out for a drink with my friends last night and so happens that both my friend and i wore the same jersey, the France Home for the upcoming World Cup.

Well, at first look, nothing seemed wrong but then he revealed to me that he bought it for RM90.00 laugh.gif whereas i bought it for RM239.00 from an authorized reseller -.-

Out of curiosity, i further examined his jersey and to my surprise, i couldn't even find a fault with it save for the seams which are not as properly done on the inside and the size is not as fitting as the replica.

The "Gallic Rooster" is very nicely done and the material used is also very similar to the replica.

My Gawd.

lol its not bad la
but what gave it away its the holes at the side
those are only on player issue jersey
and im sure player issue ones have a lot more difference than the one on pic
*
Yeah but it's really hard to differentiate it at the first glance. Even by touch, it's difficult. The authentic player issue has this extra piece near the split hem on the bottom sides and this "graded" jersey also has it -.-

So the rule of thumb now is if you see a "player issue" jersey anywhere, be skeptical until the wearer undressed and turned it inside out for you to verify if the serial number tag is there :hahaha:.

On a side note, there is one thing that I really liked about Arsenal though is that no matter how accurate these "graded" manufacturers try to copy, they can never duplicate the Arsenal's badge. These "graded" one often looked distorted so buying authentic Arsenal jersey has a plus point here :haha:

This shirt is fake spotted right away when i saw the followings:
1. price
2. Shirt Material
3. Nike swoosh & club crest
4. Collar quality & shirt material
5. Laser cutting holes quality
6. Shirt is straight cut instead of "lady shape" cutting
*
Yeah. If you are very well versed with how the authentic looks like then you may be able to spot the difference but like i mentioned earlier, i went out for a drink at night with my friends and i couldn't really tell the difference at first glance. I bought the authentic one from an authorized reseller so i can tell you, the feel of the material in the "graded" one feels quite similar to the authentic one.

What i am pointing out is that these "graded" jerseys are getting better and better in their method in duplicating. I fear that one day, they may even acquired the necessary skills to produce an exact copy of the authentic but at a much cheaper price as they are basically each piece is basically sold without "royalty" sad.gif

anybody bought from 442kit.com before? they're having a clearance sales and i'm tempted to buy since they're the only website that have cheapest jerseys atm. i just found out about this website after browsing through the garage sales section sweat.gif
*
They are quite efficient. I already bought three (3) jerseys from them (ie. Arsenal Away 2013/2014, France World Cup Home and France World Cup Away). Fast too. Once payment is confirmed, shipment is made almost immediately.

I paid to them at 3:00pm yesterday and my shirt arrived earlier just now.
