QUOTE(techdybear @ Aug 21 2013, 08:56 PM) Brothers & Sisters, can we don't blame anyone or anything now? Let's grieve the deaths... Rest In Peace true.. we should be like the americans when it comes to remembering the death of our people, we should have a time of silence where no one will speak or post anything for a few moment..

I wonder if the bus driver was a new one, because some people are not used to driving downhill.

QUOTE(Kampung2005 @ Aug 21 2013, 09:55 PM) Yes, as there is standing space for those too. Is it legal to have passengers that stand during the journey on the road like this? Something bad happen..just like this..

I'm a Genting employee, currently now in Genting too. Normally the bus drivers and also taxi drive extremely fast like a F1 driver. I agree with the suggestion on higher walls, or maybe there are some other solutions from expert. No doubt driver and the company might be the ones responsible, but I strongly feel that Genting shall work together and spend some money into improving the road safety, I'm not blaming Genting, as it's not directly its fault, but having earned a lot of money from customers, some drastic actions must be taken, hire some professionals to study the road, safety, etc....we need to feel safe, even as employees also we are worried, we drive up and down everyday

As far as I know, this thing is not illegal as there is no legal requirement on this matter. Plus the bus actually has hand grabs for standing passengers too. That said, time to look at such aspects such as bus, driver or even having taller wall on the edges of the road.

QUOTE(Kampung2005 @ Aug 21 2013, 08:58 PM) Need to know the actual cause first. Most often, the issue lies either the driver or the bus itself, followed by road. That deadly corner need to be upgraded ? Bus driver should be re train to drive Genting Hill ? Inspection of buses need to be perform by Genting Safety Team instead of Puspakom , btw my Company van have brake failure also got passed by Puspakom with the help of runners

QUOTE(terry98000 @ Aug 21 2013, 08:50 PM) the point is that, they shouldn't publish internationally, may be it is not the intention of the government, maybe the goverment din't want to publish it throughout the whole world.. but it can also be the fault of the community, maybe community so keh-poh go and publish on facebook walls... and who knows some amo-lang read it and news spread... not sure lah if can like that.. but i think everyone is at fault as long as they are publishers.. There's nothing wrong to circulate the news, this is 21st century. All the relevant parties or authorities will be on the focus internationally, which they must follow up with this case. If no actions to be taken, the relevant parties or authorities will be ready to get their image tarnished. Now, we see that our bomba, polis and ambulans took immediate action to rescue the victims, kudos to them. For once, we take actions fast and immediate from the viewer's POV.

Stopping the vehicle falling off the cliff is the first step to improve safety. upgrade 1 feet wall to 4 feet wall only, not lot of money in Genting's eye, but definitely will make a diff from stopping vehicle falling off the cliff. Accident like this make a bad press to Genting. Pretty sure Genting boss dont like this.

These buses run from Pekeliling via Jalan Genting Klang to Genting. Always see them refuel at bhp opposite McD. Should also be using Gemilang bodywork.

unsure if route to Mt. Kinabalu also dangerous anot? because looking at the condition, is much more worst than genting, firstly, probably you can't see anything due to foggy weather.. secondly, walls nearby cliff is also like that, but except the cliff is far from the roadside.. so it's still consider safe, unless ILLEGAL RACING! something like this i've been through.. but still consider unsafe, when fog gets heavier.. by the way, heard that mt. kinabalu has few cases of accident but not at cliff areas.. lol just for info..
