I would like to ask if anyone is using a T6 or U2 LED headlamp for your foldies?

Appreciate if any of the sifu here can share comments and also the source of the product.

I know there are tonnes of them available on the internet, especially from taobao.com, the only thing is which one is reliable.

Appreciate all your feedbacks. Thanks a bunch!

registered your bike here...

i agree on this 'sticky'
dun need to spoon feed everything,

put price range and bikes available?
some owners comment on bike?

alot of ppl likes to hear a bunch of recommendations...
then in the end they just go with their own requirements...
so it is time wasting to type over and over again...

great! rclxms.gif

these days most stuff r china made..
so it is good to check the chinese forums...

now, tons of light from china, and the budget ones have
acceptable quality liao..

i saw ultrafire/uranusfire on tb, seems acceptable enough the quality,
price is really tempting... drool.gif

i think for normal street riding... 200lumen is good enuff,
get one with higher rating, but use 200lumen for riding.
choose one with a large/wide 'spill',
if u dun ride a lot at night, might consider a flash light,
so u can use it off the bike.
but bike light with batt pack will last longer than flash light
with single batt.

dun worry about the batt pack, u can get it easily here.
there is a company at amcorp tower pj, which specialised in batt,
they can spot weld batts and custom make batt packs..
make sure the charger accepts 220v ++.

i believe u can find lots of info here in this chinese forum for starters... biggrin.gif

http://www.shoudian.org/forum.php

for cycling.. light with a long throw is not that useful, u want to see just far enough
and a wide flood.

check out these beam pattern test.. and also the reviews..

http://reviews.mtbr.com/2013-bike-lights-s...ard-beam-photos

the magicshine MJ-872 have some good reviews. just compare its beam pattern
with others ( see the link above )

TB price 720 RMB..

RM price frm SG seller..

I actually prefer right rides which is why I am looking for a bicycle headlamp and not a torch. But I do day rides too. My concern of getting a headlamp is that: how much will the difference be if I were to get one with 200 lumens vs those 1200 lumens? I know the power output is different hence the difference of lumens. But does the lumens affect the range throw of the lights? I mean, it would be good to get one with wide spill as well as a longer range.

I had my eyes on Knog Blinder Road 2, just that the price is quite high, and the running time is pretty low for a headlamp. My budget for this *fingers crossed* will hopefully within a RM100 range, which after looking at various posts on TB, ebay, etc, is very much unlikely as those products are all over RM100.

u dun need to throw so far la for cycling... unless u masuk hutan mtbing.. biggrin.gif
throw is also determined by the reflector, if it has smooth n deep reflector it will have a further throw.

u pay a bit more for quality la...
tb where got all over RM 100...

wana bet ur money on these ?? laugh.gif

i cant accept that Dr Hon changed the bike into smthing like this and
still asking for old price...
at least giv la some nicer colour.. doh.gif

if u don't mind the bigger size, dun always lug the folded bike around, love the look, ...
but u know already right.. all the components have been down spec except for the bigger
wheels and disc brake.. also i heard one member said (in V1) it weights a ton.... shakehead.gif

Hi All,
Recently I bought 2 TRINX (exactly like the photos) at the interval of 2 weeks for my kids. I got it from a bike shop in Makhota Cheras, first one at RM750 and the second one at RM770 as the owner told me that the price increased for the newer batch.
*
hi,

thanks for sharing feedback...
750... wah... very good price oredi.. almost same as china online...

Here is some of my comments. This is my first foldie and my experience may be differ from others and

thx for feed back biggrin.gif

- it bouncy. i think the tyre is too slim and my weight (80kg) i feel it through my spine. my rim is little bend already
light heavyweight already.. sweat.gif , the rim bend maybe can be trued.

- the chain is noisy only when the back gear is on the end (either far left or far right). when in the middle, it didn't sound a bit.
this one should be able to tuned.

u need to align back the chain at the High n Low setting.
Simplified version is, prop up the bike so u can turn the crank with ur hand and spin the rear wheel.
on the RD, there are 2 screws labelled H L.
Shift to the smallest sprocket, adjust the H screw left or right slowly while turning the crank
when the chain is aligned, there will be no sound.
Shift to the largest sprocket and repeat with L screw.

- the handlebar is mis-align with the front tyre.
adjust back.

- seat post is loose.
tighten.

- it seem the paddle also loose. i might too heavy for the paddle also.
cant be tighten?

everything seem fine.
great!

The rear derailleur was not a Neos but a Suntour which was shaped similarly. This plasticky rear derailleur is really lousy! I am not sure if this was the standard RD for the Tern Link D8. Suntour maybe good in suspension forks but they still need a lot of improvements on their RDs.

Luckily I still have the original Neos 8 speed from my Boardwalk. She switched to the Neos.  Those intending to buy Terns, especially the Link D8, check the RD.

FB have killed many forums... since most ppl wan easy... lazy .....

forum can be very organised if done properly...

the 1st page there apart from guide for starters...

many ppl like to ask about which bike which bike...recommend...
if members here can do some review n post close up detail shots
of the bike parts like folding hinge etc... that will be useful as well....

it all depends on the TS now... biggrin.gif
