QUOTE(etigge @ Sep 8 2013, 09:38 PM) Steerer tubes come in 3 standard sizes. 1" , 1 1/8" and 1 1/2" and the latter is rare. Most suspension forks are 1 1/8" but it is also available in 1". RST forks usually are sold without the steerer forks and there's an option to buy with 1" or 1 1/8". Off course the steerer tubes are chargeble too. rst is one of the option i had (luckily I don't know what your fork problem is, can you explain why it is loose? me mysef not sure why its loose (riding style? its just dat one day i feel de front side shaky/wobbly i tot de qr loosen...its not go to johny to fix de front brake he told me my fork is shaky well since hes not fixing de fork or aniting so i assume de fork is either unfixable or not worth to be fixed anyway i already had a plan for de fork im eyeing the rst from de ebay its just dat when i know rst is a taiwan company why on earth wud i order from de other side of de pacific? so i wonder if taobao got de rst no steerer one n ask robyn to look at taobao hehe |

QUOTE(etigge @ Sep 9 2013, 01:11 AM) I have some doubts about your fork wobbling. As I see from the pix of your bike, it uses a quill stem. This is an old design found in our old bikes where the stem has two metal wedges that tightens and grips onto the fork's steerer tube. Parts for these are easily found in any old timer shops but I doubt Johnny's stocks them. Try taking your bike to any Ah Pek's bike shop and I am sure they can repair and tighten it. Another point is, yours has a drop bar and I think it works better to have a non-suspension fork and I think any kiddy's 20 inch fork can be fitted if the need to change the fork arises. Take it to an old timer's shop and see if they can tighten it. There are also a conversion quill stem that when used, you can get the regular stem (where you choose the angle and length ) and lock onto the adapter. QUOTE(H2D @ Sep 9 2013, 01:25 AM) i agree with etig, thanx for de advisebring ur bike to a few ahpek bike shop to determine what is the cause. there is one near ur place. when u exit from ktm komuter station, turn right, cycle past the balai polis, the bike shop is opposite the pos office... this one of the " real deal " ahpek bike shop in pudu.. from " village bicycle " facebook. with welding skills https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4...57110159&type=1 another one in jalan pandan https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=501...&type=1&theater ![]() will definitely go n visit dis wiken im going to kedah myb can visit ahpek shop there hehe QUOTE(H2D @ Sep 10 2013, 11:56 AM) i oso fancy de dashp18 or x20 or whatever dash is jdm eh dey sure got all de finest things 105 as standard? damn but then if got sell here i oso cant afford one haizzz |

QUOTE(etigge @ Sep 18 2013, 10:13 PM) Is this a bridge to Pulau Bunting? The only island we can see is from Pantai Merdeka. Very nice pictures and scenic route. yes it isbut the road going to de bridge is ony paved with stone glad im fitted with dth glad u all like it worth blistering my a*s for de second time hehe ah to those pipel discussing bout headlights im using knog blinder road 2 headlights so far i like it very much bright enuf for me for urban use i tink its bright enuf for aniting myb not as bright as t6 or aniting but i like its compactness and its battery is not external for me its quite a headache to find a place to mount de external battery and i also like de idea of usb charging going anywher means i can use my phone charger or my lappy instead of having to bring its own charger and to find plug point quite expensive yes im using it everyday and happy with it its worth my money (at least i tink so...and im not dat rich to throw RM200++ just like dat) and knog blinder road 2 rear lights oso awesome night ride eh? lets plan one hehe |

QUOTE(budgee @ Sep 24 2013, 12:25 PM) My new bike, which I am using to ride from PJ to KL. Trying to use it on a daily basis to go to work, but the gearing leaves me pedalling "air" when I am on the level road, worse if it is downhill. 48-14?The Problem is: the wheels are 16 inches, the crank is 48T and the smallest rear cog is 14T. What are my upgrade options? any suggestions? QUOTE(etigge @ Sep 25 2013, 03:03 PM) Come, bring me your bike. I will do it for you for RM250 plus all the servicing and greasing. Choose any color you desire. ahKlang valley very hard to start bike shop lah! Everyone prefers nice looking shops like FB and Vans or GW Cycle even knowing that they cost one more arm and leg for the same thing. Moreover, beginners tend to lean to these shops thinking they are better. dis is super! will come to u to paint my bike hopefully after i get my front fork done hehe |

QUOTE(etigge @ Sep 25 2013, 08:30 PM) How do you like my new rear mirror? Compact and small. It's custom made by a local and it's available at Johnny's place ( My Bike Shop ) for RM38. i saw at johnys fb n planning to get a pair for mysef ![]() I have also requested my friend to fabricate a brake booster (similar to Avid Arch Rival 50) using 6061 aluminium. It was supposed to have lightening holes but according to him the water jet cutting is calculated by inches! booster adds extra rigidity to the seat stays/forks. ![]() i broke my diy mirror in last trip uuu water jet eh nice! i tink u shud drill de holes ursef hehe but still good without de holes anyway adriankhoo u shud fit this brake booster too as u doin lotsof offroad n oso look cooler when fit front n rear i bet ur ugo will look tougher n oso acting as otometik mud scrapper! am i rite etigge? hehe |
