Have tried to get contact with them? I forgot to ask Mr Zaid (my interviewer) whether he will notify all the candidates or successful candidates only...

I got the call too. But i think I screwed my chances also. Haha..They told me if chosen for the next stage, they will either call up or send email. So far there hasn't been any reply so i'm guessing I did not get chosen.

hye, which petrofac did you guys applied to?

I applied to petrofac RNZ for the graduate engineer but got rejected. The interview session is one of a kind!! @_@

Applied for the Graduate Structural Engineer. I guess we did not apply to the RNZ ones. BTW when did you attend the interview? What sort of questions/ format did they use for the interview?

The thing is, they phone interview without notify us earlier. and when I ask if we can arrange some other time, they said we need to do it quickly as the deadline is approaching. phewww.

btw, when was your phone interview was held?

Yah, I did. They gave a series of questions beforehand and asked us to answer it then the interview was done in group of 5 (for my session).

First, requested us to do a simple introduction of yourself.
Next, the rest of the session revolves on discussing about the questions (what you answered, what do you think, why, theory behind it etc)

The questions are on basic engineering knowledge:
(i) fluid dynamics, pressure drop calculation, what factors affect pressure drop, some simple calculation on pressure drop and etc
(ii) differences between dew point, boiling point, and bubble point and some theory etc
(iii) some everyday logic such as how to describe refrigeration using mass and heat transfer, dew formation, car air conditioning etc.

I think they wanna assess basic understanding but really don't know what they are looking for in a candidate though, my friend answered very well but didnt get selected for the programme.

U just attended the interview did you? Usually how long after the phone interview that they contact u? Coz mine has been 2 weeks already but still no reply

I got the phone call 2 weeks back. I was surprised that I got the phone call as I thought I fared pretty badly in that online test. I just hope that miracle can happen again as again I think I did pretty badly in the phone interview

Ohhh. I attended few months ago, in May if not mistaken. The process quite fast though, might be due to applying through career fair. All the candidates who interviewed are from career fair applicants. You apply online? To which Petrofac?

I see. I guess we're from the different batch of applicant. I applied to Petrofac Malaysia and not the RNZ. Yup I applied online for the position of Grad Structural Engineer

Well, seems like our situation is pretty similar. Now just finger cross, hoping for miracle to happen again. My friend who applied for the same opening already received email saying that he did not pass to the next interview session. So, as long as they keep quite, means our chances is still there until we got email saying no (praying hard no to get that email) !!! haha.

Did your fren get the call for phone interview? My friend also got the email saying he has been rejected as he did not pass the online test. By the way are u a fresh graduate? Or u have been working

yup, he didnt pass the online test too. i graduated last year. currently working already for almost 1 year in construction sector! yuck. haha

How come i dint accept any email/notification regarding my status on online test?..when did she/he emailed you after

an onlin test?..Been a while waiting for the phone iv...Almost 2 months already

Hey bud, I did not receive the email notification too. They called me one week after I completed the online test. But my fren who failed the test received email saying he wasn't shortlisted. If you did not receive the email fingers crossed that they call u soon
