Should be able to use in KL but the internet speed will be reduced. Because in KL, the 1 MBS is RM129 per month, according to the agent.

Like that people will register fiz in another state and use in KL. RM89 vs RM129.

If you register at other state, let say RM89 per month at JB and when u use it at KL, your 1MBS download speed will be reduced.

Just for everyone's information.
I had been Yes Fiz subscriber for 4 or 5 months.

You can indeed bring the modem around, I had tried bring it over to Penang, KL and Melaka.

All places works fine and able to reach 1Mbps as long as signal is good and no congestion.

Again I am pointing this out although it's been pointed many times before.

QUOTE
11. Can I use the FIZ device in places aside from my "Intended Use Address"?
Yes. However we would not be able to guarantee coverage in your new location.

If you would like to use the FIZ device away from the "Intended Use Address", you are required to inform Yes Care at 018-333 0000 on the change of address.

If you are just travelling for few weeks or days I don't think you need to call them unless it's a permanent changes.
I travel a lot due to work, so I had tried with the above mentioned state without any issue. Never call YES to update address though.

Agent word cannot be trusted regardless of the stuffs they sales let it be Streamyx or mobile phones.

99% of sales agent just say whatever without knowing the fact, at least that's the experience I get from tons of purchases over my lifetime whistling.gif

People can do that but YES may do some routing check over certain period and restrict account usage if it's suspicious (such as using a FIZ Johor in KL) unless they contact YES to change intended use address then should be fine.
Purely my speculation though.

I had that similar issue within the 2nd week of usage, was piss as fuck.
They change a new modem for me and wasted my 2 weeks for the replacement, agent said will rebate back but did not. Din't even bother to chase them on this matter, probably going to waste more of my time.

It's 1Mbps, don't expect much.
I only use it as backup network as I use DiGi/Maxis most the time.

that too bad..
my case was different. after troubleshooting with the CS over the phone, they ask me to take the modem to the nearest centre for further checking.
The staff at the centre also said my modem was broken and the new modem cost around RM 350. rclxub.gif
I said I need to think 1st and went back home. I left my modem inside my car for 1 day becoz i thought it can't be used anymore.
I took the modem back inside after 1 day and test it again. Then voila! my modem is up and running as usual. I don't how the modem is working back but 1 thing for sure, YES STAFF IS STUPID! they don't even check the modem properly. They just try to browse using the modem. they don't even bother to reflash the firmware or check the hardware. doh.gif doh.gif

This telco still stucked in year 200x decade?

So many years ripping their customers with expensive quota plans. Can't even provide UNLIMITED no speed restriction plans like in Japan. Don't lie to Malaysians say haven't recovered investments.

UQ WIMAX Japan already launched WIMAX2 with generous large quota and UNLIMITED quota for old WIMAX, YES still stucked with quota plans and 1Mbps speed?

Wibro KT also offering UNLIMITED quota high speed internet at affordable prices, why this company cannot?

South Korea and Japan might have expensive small quota 4G plans which force them to use on smartphones, but their WIMAX plans are relatively cheap for netbook and tablet uses that comes with UNLIMITED quota.

KT Wibro 4G Unlimited Monthly Plan Offer - 20k Won (RM73.50) / month.

Why would local telco offer unlimited plans when they can rip off their user from expensive limited quota packages and there's no real challenger

My area still new don't have streamyx , only option is P1 and yes fiz.
Btw any yes fiz user can give opinion on the connection , I just use it to YouTube and Dota , don't mind a smooth 360p. Possible ?
