hey! guys, i decided to get myself a NEX, was torn between NEX-5R or NEX-6...erm i list out some of my doubt here, hope can help me point out my doubt, thanks in advance!

1. newer NEX-5T is out, guess is a good time to grab a NEX-5R for a lower price? i am not really into the new wifi thing and i guess 5R and 5T share almost the same spec? which NEX-5R still give poisonous picture

2. might consider NEX-6 as its EVF, or is it worth to pay the extra buck for the EVF on NEX-6? or Fujifilm XE-1 wth external aperture and shutter control? as both have around the same body price

3. i am a street photographer, so a viewfinder and a fixed focal lens would do for me. need a good CP value camera

Thanks! icon_rolleyes.gif

you are right to ponder over the EVF.. I have the 5N with EVF.

Issue you will face is your style of street shoot.. do you point and shoot of take time and frame..and since you also prefer prime.. I trust bokeh and subject control will be you prime concern... for that EVF is an asset.. if you just shoot using wide angle, then EVF is not much of a use because you dont really have the time to wait for the critical moment and depend on all the auto to give you the freedom of composition.

what i did find is the 5 EVF has some critical attributes the 6 will not have.. It is swivel.  That means you can shoot from waist level - a much more interesting angle than at eve level.. more so when using 50 mm prime.  The bad side is it is fragile but you will learn how to take care of it.  There are times I wish I had the 6 but I am sweet as using 5 with and EVF attachment.

Study your work flow and you will  know..  I use a full manual Prime and it is much faster and use less power too..

i normally shoot street with zone focusing and MF, and with a fixed focal 35mm lens, but bokeh is not a my main concern la
correct me if i am wrong NEX-5N>5R>5T, in the sequence of releasing date? but all these unit have almost the same spec right?
fragile? you mean the addon EVF is fragile?

btw, these are my recent shots (X100), might wanna get a NEX and try out, and was amaze on NEX's IQ
