Finally, I bought my fist ever camera after quite some time of researching. Was previously thinking of getting a dslr, but when I knew abt Nex camera, I instantly fell in love with it. The build is just superb. And I bought the white one, it's definitely nice in the eye
Anyway, first I'd like to ask, why is it that when I try to snap a close-up picture, the pic will become blur? Second, I find that when I snapped a pic, sometimes the color of the pic will change. It's like it's trying to give the best color. Is it a good thing or a bad thing? |

QUOTE(little ice @ Oct 24 2013, 01:59 AM) 1) how close you shoot? you might have gotten too close and exceed the minimum focus distance. Not that close. Snapping the whole pic of a phone, just trying. Is it considered as really close? But snapping the pic of camera using the phone looks good 2) camera is processing the picture, most probably ehat you saw was white balance changes. I see. Is it a good thing? Because the color looks artificial. I mean, it's like creating a new color, not following the real color of the thing |

QUOTE(little ice @ Oct 24 2013, 12:34 PM) if you get a focus lock, it could be that it focused further back. i tried the NEX with the 1650 kit lens and it focus near just fine. But all the settings were default. I haven't changed anything yetthat's normal, if you shoot RAW and import it into editing software you'll see raw usually have less contrast and color punch (unless you use high quality lens), so the camera boost the contrast and color for jpegs. I see. I guess it shouldn't be a bad thing then |

QUOTE(danielcmugen @ Oct 26 2013, 02:09 AM) Make sure distance between camera and phone is not less than 25cm, u can further zoom for more magnification. I see. I guess I'll have to get used to snapping pics more than 25 cm away. ThanksQUOTE(ezyfoto19 @ Oct 26 2013, 11:44 AM) u mean background and foreground will be quite blur, right? it quite normal as it have DSLR-sized sensor, which delivering great IQ and able to focus subject clearly while defocusing background and foreground. Ohh. In other words, the colors try to adapt to lighting condition and everything. Great. Thanks, broif colour keep changing, when in lowlight, limited light is entering sensor, and thus sensor keep determine to get best colour as possible. normally in good lighting Sony NEX will perform extremely well (especially uses Zeiss lenses oh well, if u still concern about colour, maybe u can refer this video below : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKRh1bDu4po enjoy ur camera |

QUOTE(albnok @ Oct 26 2013, 04:16 PM) The explanations given on this forum aren't detailed enough. Now we're talking abt Physics eh 25cm in this case is the Minimum Focus Distance (MFD), which changes with different lenses. MFD is measured from the sensor to the object. See this image: http://www.google.com/imgres?client=firefo...=32&tx=59&ty=97 Working Distance is a different measurement, from the front of the lens to the subject. This is of course less than 25cm after you subtract the sensor to lens mount (18mm) and lens length. |

And the colors, did you edit or it's in its original color? |
