I've used both before, I myself owned the Sigma 30 and borrowed a SEL38f18 from my friend. We were travelling together in Korea, and did lots of photography. Here's my thoughts on their differences

Sigma 30mm 2.8
+ Very sharp. Even at wide open
+ Light
+ Cheap
= Plasticky matte, but feels quite premium. Didn't even scratched after dropping it on granite.
- AF kinda slow.

SEL35f18
+ Better bokeh
+ Fast AF with PDAF
= Not as sharp as Sigma. ( my thoughts k? )
= Plasticky. Gloss compared to Sigma but still feels solid
- Expensive

Need adapter rite if want to use on a7?

Yes!  a 1940 model...  I modified it myself to M42 mount but you need helicoid to focus!  My favorite lens too.  It has a mind of its own and it is more often then not, rewarding. 

Grab one if price is reasonable while people do not know how to convert it!  But there are plenty of fake ones out there so do your homework.. I saw one recently in good condition and price is also good..  most of them suffer from delamination due to humidity.  They use balsam then and not epoxy like today. Paid US250/- for mine and fully converted about another US80/-

Hey guys question here

I cant take pictures with lens cap attached on my new A6000 kit...It stuck at the black screen if i press the shuttle and the only way to solve it is to turn off and on again (removing lens cap did nothing lol)...Is it common nowadays? Cause I can still take pictures with lens cap on using my old Sony A350...

a5000 and a6000 are both different grade of camera.
a5000 targeting compact camera user replacement so it is simple to use and have 180degree fold up LCD for selfie. it mean simple so no hot shoe on it. BTw although it is simple but the spec is comparable to a lot of entry DSLR.

a6000 is targeting DSLR replacement or prosumer upgrade. It has most mid-high end DSLR features like fast AF-C, large AF coverage, hot shoe, etc. And it has a electronic view finder which is very important!

BH Photo and Adorama do not ship Touit/Zeiss lens to Malaysia and Singapore anymore starting June 13.
I get a pop up note from BH that there is a manufacturer restriction to ship to Malaysia when i put the Zeiss/Touit lens in cart and checkout. Not sure if they will resume shipment after promo period.

how is the image quality on kit lens? should i upgrade it?
what is the best lens to pair with A6000 for landscape? 

i don't like prime lens, and zeiss is kinda costly 

after i tried sel35f18 i never touch my kit lens anymore..
