Just bought NEX5T in last week's Sony roadshow. I noticed that most of the indoor shots using Superior Auto are under exposed. Outdoor shots are crystal clear & sharp.

Anyone experiencing the same?

Nope as I never use superior auto . Maybe starting try superior auto then slowly play with manual by adjusting aperture shutter speed n iso . Many more to learn n play . Takes time . Haha . Superior auto on outdoor day light is nice indeed .

Can someone give some guide of getting soft edge GND filter for lenses?

Normally when I took picture (to capture both details of bridge sky and land), I use HDR lvl5 with relatively low ISO and high shutter speed, but reason still not so satisfying and I found out about GND filter.

Thinking to getting one, just wondering which level (4,8,12,16?) to get?
Besides that, any good filter to recommend (and app price)?
I saw many use UV/Clear filter on lenses for protection purposes?
Thanks in Advance, and Gong Hei Fatt Choi. smile.gif

Research a bit on handheld square filter for precise control.Would be great to have medium and high density so you'll have a bit more option to explore.
Lesser known brand with plastic material can be around 100ish while Tiffen high grade glass material can rack up to four figure.
To use UV filter or not is pretty much up to you.For my case as I constantly switching between CPL and ND filters,I just do away with it.
Experiment on cheaper filter first, when you have reach your next level then consider good quality filters to go together with your lens upgrade.
Just my 2 cents la!

Why not use Auto HDR?

I've got a GND too, but if you have a structure that goes "across" the light and dark area, it gets affected by the GND.

You can put a Clear filter on all the time. UV filters aren't needed since digital sensors are not sensitive to UV light.

Thanks man. May I know how much for cheapest ND filter ? And where can I get it? Thanks lots
