Hi all, I've been quite interested to start my own training routine, but I have a small question that i'd like to ask.

What's the best time of training?

What to consume before/after training?

Your comment/opinion is gladly appreciated, Thanks

The best time of training is when you have enough energy to follow through the workout with proper form and adequate intensity, and that does not affect your work-life balance and sleep quality during the night.

Same principle applies to food consumption. More technically though, complex carbs (e.g. oats, sweet potatoes) and protein packed meal, 1.5 hour before a workout session, plus proper hydration.

After training.. Just eat a balanced meal. Hitting your daily macro needs is more important.

Hi,

The best time of training totally depend on yourself as it varies between one another. Some people feel that their body reacts better when trained in the morning but others feel better to train in the later part of the day. So for the best training time, i would recommend you to try out both and see which works better for you!

Before training, i would recommend you to eat about an hour before your workout and do include some carbs as it would give you some strength to train.

there's no best time to do exercise, anytime is best time if you just started. be it a.m before work exercise, or p.m after work exercise, or both. are good.

you only need to worry once you get serious in body building, then we talk about split training.

what to consume before or aftet is too irrelevant.

for now, just get active.

Thank you so much all, didn't expect would get such helpful and prompt reply from you guys at this short time.

I used to train from 7-8 before going to work, without eating anything, but finding myself weak and exhausted and not be able to make it until Lunch time.

So now I guess I'm going to take my lunch at around 8 and start working out at 9-10.

Gonna try out for a week, hope that helps

bodybuilding literature changed a whole damn lot these few years. working out after an extended fast seems to spike adrenaline a whole lot.

only experienced the adrenaline rush once but now i'm back to eating 2 hours before my workout. wouldn't recommend fasted training for bodybuilding routines (like 20+ sets per bodypart).

Some do better on an empty stomach pre training, some do better with some food. There is no best reply. Overall good responses in this thread by everyone.
I don't want to see a shitstorm. It's a Monday.

Totally agree. And also depends on what time you train. I train fasted morning workout in the morning smile.gif .
