QUOTE(butthead @ Aug 24 2013, 09:54 PM) it's like saying you are still a P driver... should not drive manual, why not buy an auto car first and once you are more experienced only you come back buy a manual... sounds more like he is hoping you buy 2 bikes from him... my next car would be EcoBoost 1.0L engine manual transmission, if the prices are priced at right price i.e RM65k or less. i think my legs and hands are gatal.... |

Thx for the Putrajay info. Just done riding in putrajaya last weekend. Good experience riding along the road with nice scenery around.
By the way, I would like to upgrade my wheelsets. Looking at the Zipp brand which is quite expensive. Any other brand which on par with the Zipp performance? Currently, I was scouting on Zipp 30 / Dura-Ace C24 or more aero & expensive wheel like Zipp 60 Honestly, will there be any performance differences between those wheel, like how they handle crosswind, sprinting acceleration? My training cycling route is 80% flat, 20% hills. Any other wheelset to suggest around Rm3k-3.5k? |

Zipp is zipp... they are sort of premium wheels to begin with... By the way, I would like to upgrade my wheelsets. Looking at the Zipp brand which is quite expensive. Any other wheelset to suggest around Rm3k-3.5k? if you aim for Zipp 30, i think it's a waste of money since that is practically a re-branded sram s series wheel and does not have the current firecrest shape the current zipp line up is running... c24 is considered an all rounder / climbing wheel for its weight... not a good choice if you have more flats than climbs... furthermore, hard to get your hands on them here... broken spokes, even bigger ???... for the RM3k range you can have Profile Altair 52 carbon clincher for RM3.8k +- or some reynolds wheel can't remember the model... QUOTE(miaopurr @ Aug 26 2013, 10:29 AM) dia 80% flat lar... |

Mavic Cosmic alu... something "not up not down"... hahabut, if he wants some carbon aero.. can consider those reynolds and profile also la... jus make sure buy adi no regret... |

Hehe, thx for the info. Basically i am a Solo rider, feel that aero wheelset will help me better cruising around on flat. Currently just using stock wheel (alex rim) come with my Merida road bike
Well, seem like no point getting zipp 30. How about the Zipp 60? seem like not much review found on the web. It seem like the performance is in between 303 & 404. I also looked at the Fulcrum Racing Zero (not a deep rim design) & Reynolds Assult too. Just wondering is there a noticeable feel and result when riding let say Fulcrum Zero compare with other Aero Wheelset ? |

Currently just using stock wheel (alex rim) come with my Merida road bike the thing is zipp made the 30 / 60 and 101 to satisfy the people who does not have the money to buy their premium wheels... it is practically old stuff and is more often than none over-priced... so, unless you die die want zipp.. i would say stay off those wheels... the 101 itself would cost RM3k... how much would you think the zipp 30 or 60 cost at our shores? that's the whole reason why sram could not sell their wheels and have to instead consolidate back into zipp as they could leverage on the brand to sell the wheels instead of sram a practically unknown and unproven wheel maker although they claim it has zipp's technology (old one).... for zipp, it's either you go all out or you don't... Well, seem like no point getting zipp 30. How about the Zipp 60? seem like not much review found on the web. It seem like the performance is in between 303 & 404. I also looked at the Fulcrum Racing Zero (not a deep rim design) & Reynolds Assult too. Just wondering is there a noticeable feel and result when riding let say Fulcrum Zero compare with other Aero Wheelset ? i am not sure what you define aero as... aero is not only about rim depth.. it has gotten a whole lot more complicated by also being thrown more developed stuff like different rim shapes that not only cuts through wind in a straight line but optimizes aero performances at yaw angles, dealing with crosswinds better / more stability, cleaner airflow leading into the frame (to work with aero frames and shit if you believe them)...and all this stuff comes at a premium price... the cheap ones are just v-shaped, high depth and that's all you get for an aero wheel definition... and when you go high rim depth.. you gain easier rolling at speeds or heavy wind but sacrifices your spin up rate of the wheel as you have more weight being put on the rims compared to the lower depth ones... it's give and take on either wheel you choose... that is why zipp made 202 for climbers, 404 for rouleurs and 303 for everything in between... |
