Price drop to 2k only from directd

Im personally using one max. Its a solid and good phone in my opinion.. raged at first due to the placement of the fingerprint reader.. but its kinda handy after u get use to it..
price from directd always fluctuate from time to time.. last time the price for Note 3 went down to 1.8Xk plus for a new sme set... then hike up to 2k plus

In HTC one Max im not really sure since like its not getting popular wondering why.. this page has only 15 pages, consider very low if compare to other phones such as M7 or one X..

3 reasons I can think of

1 - Price
2 - Hardware . Most people feel S600 is outdated but then again , what's the point of having even S805 is manufacturers cant get this software right . Look at Z1 , all the latest spec as of last year yet , IMO , it's a rubbish . Battery sucks for a 3000mah battery, I can say I it's 60% of my G2 , washed out screen and the camera r over rated .
3 - A lot of users are skeptical over HTC products after so many problems with HTC One eg Purple tint , bad service from distributor , etc

wow... g2 so power ah? mind sharing your battery performance between g2 and z1?

it's not G2 power , it's Z1 that is bad for a 3000mah . Anyway , if u wanna discuss , go to G2 thread , this is after all One Max thread .

If like that then you better share your experience of how bad the z1 battery is in the z1 thread lo.

For ? I'm giving an example here cuz battery life really sucks for a 3000mah compared to other 3000mah phones for my heavy usage . Dont butt hurt if u r using Z1 , u guys can go make believe it's the best phone there is , it's up to u guys . And I havent start to comment on the washed out screen .

Not butt hurt. I have only used 1 flagship model this far and so can't really compare the battery life with other brands flagship. That's y I asking you to share your experience lo. With your reputation here, I am sure you must have facts and data to support your statement. You wouldn't just simply say it without any base right?

Screen washout is a known fact. No need to argue also.

Exactly . Users had complaint about it during Xperia Z , they improved and made a great screen on Xperia ZU yet for a flagship that is newer then XZU , it goes backward instead of forward . Like I said , i used the phone only for a while and that was back in Oct/Nov . Fact wise , based on my usage , just on whatsapps connected via Wifi + 1 song trf via BT , i cant even get 7 hours without battery going flat . Screen on Time around 1 hour . This the last copy of my screenshot of Z1 on the day I took and decided , I'm getting rid of it even b4 my extended battery pack arrives , rest are deleted or somewhere .



And compare it to Note 3 , bigger screen , full 0.7" bigger yet with an additional of 200mah difference in battery , I dont see why the battery life is so much different



And as for HTC One Max , battery life is as good as note 3 . Sorry I dont have an screen shot 2 prove it as my mum "confiscated" it during CNY since she finds it easy to read on a big screen and also cuz it's red , taiwan edition . Anything more , just pm me . We wasted enough post talking something non-related .

Wow... Only 1 hour of sot is indeed ridiculously low.
I dunno maybe something wrong with your z1 that time? I played games (alot), online all the time ( either data or wifi), fb, whatsapp... Easily still can get 3 hour sot. And total Battery can at already last through my working day, I would say from 8am to 7pm, with usually 30% left.

Yup. Have to agree on the screen.

Has given up on kitkat on this phone
And yesterday I had downgraded it back to JB 4.3
It has become so inconvenient to use it as on kitkat - whole phone is handicapped:

- unable to copy files from internal memory to ext Sdcard
- unable to even delete files on ext SDcard
- unable to manage/edit files on et SDcard
- unable to backup SMS on ext Sdcard- routine backup of APK ( once app is updated) on ext Sdcard through EAS backup not posssibe
- cannot transfer files to ext SDcard through wifi file explorer and can only delete files on ext SDcard

HTC had not responded to this ; unlike Sony, Samsung that comes with their own build in file explorer app that solves the first 3 issues ; HTC doesn't have such a build in app
I rooted the phone and tested a 3rd party app Nextapp SDFix but it doesn't work

the SD card issue didn't affect me that much as I don't use it that frequently..

and most of the time, I am around a PC, so the file transfer issues is still bearable

i'm looking forward to Sense 6.0 coming out on the 25th March with the new HTC..

Believe that by then, all the issues highlighted would be solved *fingers crossed*

Took half an hour and I did a SOFF ( using Firewater Soff) and restored back unlock bootloader to LOCKED and TAMPERED gone...Now the fingerprint sensor is working

new owner reporting in!
after comparing with Z1 Ultra, Nokia 1520, Note 3, I decided to take this one.
First time Android user. Previously iOS user.

last night quite a pain, have to figure out how to transfer contacts.
Today after setup HTC Manager, realized, the manager can restore using iOS backup! Waster hours last night. ZZzz..

so far so good with kit kat update.
still trying to tweak and customize.

overall, I'm satisfied with this phone!!
