what are the minimum age and requirements to buy those physical golds?

I heard that you need to open an account in Public Bank if you intend to buy from them.

FYI , I'm just 16 y/o.

And how many grams are the minimum requirement?

Can I buy just 5 grams?

What are some examples of reputable jewellery shops in Subang area?

What should I be careful of while purchasing these goods ?
*
I see a lot of goldsmiths in malls selling 5g gold bars. U can hop from shops to shops to do ur survey or bargain for the cheapest price. That's the easiest way to do. Try not to touch jewellery. Just the bar will do. They are on display at almost all goldsmith shops in malls.

Apparently someone did attempt to board a plane to try to lari with gold bars! Haha! How much are these 3 gold bars worth, you think?

Emergency landing in KLIA after package found in plane’s toilet… but it’s just gold bars
http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2014...ld-bars-Flight/

If the gold legally belongs to a passenger, why make such a big fuss over it? Or is  getting gold bars out of a country illegal? Does anyone know?
*
Yea, I had the same thing in my mind too when I read the news. It says less than 1kg. Assuming it's 1kg, it worth more or less rm100k

erk... when I started trading gold, it was in the range of 1400.00 - 1911.00... current live price is 13XX.XX is still low... so I was seeking opinion on when majority people target it's going to come back to it's old glory days.  icon_rolleyes.gif

I remembered it went up couple of months ago to 16xx.xx... then dropped back to 12xx.xx... hopefully it will go up back again and this time break the 2000.00 barrier.
*
Break 2000? Yea I wish too.. As I can remember, it didn't touch 1600 from August 2013. That time was due to syria's case. It touches slightly above 1500 and dropped to below 1200 for a while.

Hello all
may i know where to check the updated physical gold ring (916/999) price at online instead of going to the shop to ask?
*
Don't think u can find that coz different shop charges their craftsmanship and profit margin differently. Jewellery don't just fluctuate according to standard gold price. They have workmanship as well.

Hi there, can I know if all the gurus here are trading via Maybank2U (MBB Gold Investment Account) or CIMB Gold Investment? smile.gif Are these platforms reliable? Very new to this area
*
I'll advice u to go for physical. Regretted that I've started with MBB. The spread is too huge to break even.

Agreed.  If you are planning to sell gold close to spot price.. I am ready to buy it.  rclxm9.gif  There is a massive network of people using social media selling and buying the physical stuff.  I know there won't be much of a problem in liquidating the gold assets when you are ready.  thumbup.gif

Happy Collecting....  whistling.gif

And at the moment, gold is easier to sell than silver.

One of the victim actually made "huge" profit at first but when 2nd time invest bigger amount, he got conned  shakehead.gif

Moral of the story: sell all & take the profit, don't invest 2nd time & be greedy  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
its ok to invest the 2nd time but i think it must be cash on delivery la. plus, u have to make sure that u are able to "consume" 300k worth of physical gold. must plan properly la. how r u going to transport or store this 300k worth of gold. 10k is still ok.

2kg of gold is only about size of 2 nokia 3120. What transport and storage problem?  rclxub.gif

Of course I don't mean a lorry to transport it la. It's the safety. Imagine carrying 300k on the street.
