QUOTE(ck23 @ Sep 19 2013, 12:56 PM) I mean jewellery. 916 jewellery. I bought a men ring. Can sell to him anytime. Follow supplier rate. Rate of melting. Slightly different though. So now I will focus on jewellery. Haha... Bear in mind, do not buy jewellery that contains stone. It has no value for stone. Just for decoration only. Stones are those fake diamonds. but isnt jewellery more expensive for their craftmanship? how come u never thought if gold coins or bars?

I remember last week maybank GIA selling rm138.45/g for 1298/oz. today, rm137.49/g for 1328/oz. higher USD/oz but lower RM/g. US dollar must be doing very badly

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Sep 23 2013, 10:41 AM) when did 1298/oz happen? not yesterday or day before... at that price a week ago, before fed talk, rm was very weak. then recovered after fed talk, now weakening again - against usd. or u misread buy-sell prices? I remembered it was a day before the announcement from FOMC. I didn't mis-read it as I bought a few grams at that price.

QUOTE(kazama82 @ Sep 24 2013, 07:31 AM) Gold prices extended Friday's losses into Monday as investors continued to avoid the precious metal after a key Federal Reserve official said that monetary authorities may consider tapering stimulus programs in October Any news could affect gold price right now. Some news in Syria could turn the price the other way round.

QUOTE(davinz18 @ Sep 24 2013, 04:37 PM) Gold deposit of 250,000-ton discovered in Fujian: report A gold deposit with a reserve of 250,000 tons has been found in Dehua county, Fujian province, Fujian Daily reported. According to the exploration result, the deposit is more than 100m in length and of an average thickness of more than 3m. In total, the reserves are estimated at almost 10 million metric tons of gold ore and more than 250,000 tons of gold. Exploration is still being carried out on the north of the deposit. Experts said it is possible the find will be a super-large gold deposit. An official in charge said the find of the porphyry gold deposit has a guiding significance for finding more Mesozoic volcanic rock-hosting gold deposits. More supply for the global market more supply and less demand for physical from china and india = lower in price.

QUOTE(ericgapz @ Sep 24 2013, 05:17 PM) What are the means of channel? Whats your prefer way of investing it? Thanks Depends on ur capital. Physical is the best but it's rm4k++ per ounce. I myself invested in bank's GIA. Coz I don't have a lot of capital to start with and I prefer to buy/sell with a click of a button.

Jewellery gold are much more expensive. U pay more for their craftsmanship which don't worth anything when u sell.
