Also I wanted to ask, if Uncle Benny or bro Andrewtst would mind doing a water test on their phone and telling the outcome, like submerging the phone in a tub of water. It's not command, just a suggestion if you guys are willing to do it and show. Thanks.

Haha, this is a good one. It's like asking a car salesman to test the airbags in the car to see whether they are working properly.

Not sure about the two owners but I, sure as hell, will not do this test on purpose

if you put on 3rd party screen protector, still wise to try out it's "water-proof"ness?

Precisely...who can be sure that leakage or human error will not happen. Who is going to responsible for such...I don't think Sony outlet will conduct this test for you as well provide they do have a demo set to do it... doh.gif

Guys just wondering any of you dirty the phone enough to warrant a thorough washing with soapy water? Any of you z/zu owners tried washing the device? What's the point of a waterproof phone if you can't wash it right? Especially for old people with cleanliness issues. After all smartphone is one of the dirtiest object we used day in day out with all the invisible germs on it.

I whitelist a few apps uncle like whatsapp, talkbox, viber, I'm gonna try again tonight without whitelist and see any difference. I'm surprised by the drain too much worse than my note 2

if u got turned auto-sync, data on, i think stamina mode hardly to work well.. coz auto sync will running on background from time to time..

turn off auto-sync, and whitelist.. i can say overnight 8hours, hardly to see battery drop 2%..

Yes, turn off auto sync but data can always be on ( mine is always on 24 hours) . Whitelist : I only have one app - Whatsapp. Under these situation, it still works very well. My previous Xperia Z , I always see only 0-1 % battery drop over 7-9 hours consistently
Similarly for this Xperia ZU phone

No problem washing it - I did that so many times on my XZ under running tap. So far washed my XZU and Tablet Xperia Z once only
But I have never test submerging it in water

if im using this phone as my one and only, turning auto sync just doesnt work because then i have to sync gmail manually to get incoming mails, any other email client i should use that i can turn off auto sync and be able to check for incoming mail automatically at 2 hours interval?

the shatter film is really bad, the back of my phone i can see a few hairline scratch appears... and trust me i am very careful with my phone during this few days of owning it. mad.gif
