QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Aug 5 2013, 11:43 PM) awesome good condition car for a 21 years old! Nice, how are the neovas? Changed from C drive 2 right?and of course, every saga/iswara owner is more than welcome to be added! and thus you're added speaking of photo sharing, you just reminded me to share some recent pictures of my iswara: Clayed the Rims, Meguiar ultimate polish, ipa wipe down, Meguiar ultimate liquid wax... About 1 hour per rim lol http://www.twitpic.com/d6eq5u And this is the result: some really shiny and nice smelling Rims. And no I'm not kidding on the smell part rofl http://www.twitpic.com/d6hpt2 So next stop, ad08r installation replaced the drive shaft too because on hard cornering the nvh is just terrible. myr190 with 2 years warranty wtf? http://www.twitpic.com/d6hvj9 And finally, some extreme performance overkill as f*** tires on my slow stock ride XD http://www.twitpic.com/d6jsgl Products used for this shot: Meguiar endurance tire gel, Meguiar ultimate quick detailer http://www.twitpic.com/d6kxm1 Also installed mcgard security lug nuts |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Aug 6 2013, 08:36 PM) awesome sauce so far on regular gentle road driving I lol'ed at this part:review here: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=62289305 and yea from c drive 2, though not exactly changed la, they sitting in my kitchen now. i'll be running 2 sets of wheels again as i *sorta* did with the achilles 123 (shit happened and i didn't get to really use 2 sets at the same time, oh and i just hate the NVH/steel rims too damn much lol) QUOTE If anything, the high speed twists on mahameru - duta road would do a decent test for this, especially if you're on the furthest right lane where there will be badly paved manholes/covers where your tires will leave the ground for a very short while and it'll have to have damn good grip to regain traction else you'll face a brief slide (or if you're too fast, you're gonna crash the divider laugh.gif) Especially the one just after the flyover bridge on the fast lane on a left turn. Last time it was horrible enough, then they re-tar the road some months back, and its even more horrible now. I'm running on adjustables and if I do hit it my whole car feels like it's coming apart. |

QUOTE(Azure_01 @ Aug 6 2013, 11:23 PM) Hye, I'm new to this thread.. Want to ask the diffrent using the air intake like bro andychan and rozz_1291's since I'm using 1.3 manual Iswara and what my friend call a carb.. Is it more pick up or else? More for top end, will sacrifice low end. Cannot have pick up everywhere. If you want pickup below 4000 rpm then stick with stock air filter setup. Modding the exhaust - a good 4-2-1 extractor, midbox and S flow muffler - will suit your need better. For 1.3 manual no need to change piping size. |

QUOTE(Azure_01 @ Aug 7 2013, 12:42 AM) If I want more pick up what should I change.. As the car now can really for 140km/h in stock.. Just the pickup very slow when drive up hill.. As mentioned, mod exhaust first, but don't increase piping size. Then go retune/service the carb. Go do a proper maintenance with good engine oil, air filter, fuel filter and spark plugs. You won't be eating hills for breakfast with 4g13 - heck my 4g15 also struggles to maintain revs uphill - but you will definitely feel better. |

QUOTE(Azure_01 @ Aug 7 2013, 01:37 AM) For all of this mod, the around cost is how much?? Is it far beyond 1k or less? What type of steel and mid box u suggest me? Sorry asking to much, I just realy love my car and want the best for it.. Dont worry dude, forums are the right place to share knowledge. For extractor suggest powerzone 4-2-1 (rm430), any straight through midbox (not those fancy swirl type - maybe ard rm200 or less) and s flow muffler (just choose one which sounds best to you - below rm300). If got more budget then thermal wrap the extractor until midbox. Just my suggestion as I also come from 4g13 carb background and worked for me, a lot of trial and error. Others may have different way of going about it. |

QUOTE(Azure_01 @ Nov 15 2013, 09:07 AM) You can try, not sure if got much benefit. But if I had to make an educated guess, stock exhaust header is too restrictive anyway, so piping size up might not be so effective, probably more gains if switch to aftermarket extractor first. |

QUOTE(wlm6070 @ Nov 23 2013, 11:22 AM) guys need comment, i plan to improve power for my iswara (M) by doing 1.top overhaul +jasma high cam + lighten crank pulley I figure yours is carbie 1.3. Top overhaul if necessary la, if not then no point wasting money. High cam? Can also but must tune properly and adjust via cam pulley to get the powerband you desire. Lighten crank pulley? OK la, can feel a bit. 4g15 carb? As far as I know, it's the same carb only.or 2.change to 4g15 carb Which one is good option? |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Dec 26 2013, 11:51 AM) i'm on LCP, no regrets installing it as the throttle response/engine acceleration is improved I'm also on cheapo Jasma LCP since about 3 years already I think. Not so much difference, IMHO, couldn't really feel it after I installed it. Or maybe I'm not so sensitive..no hp gains though, only shifting the power band a bit earlier |

QUOTE(zero5177 @ Dec 28 2013, 10:48 PM) Hi Everyone, I need some sifus to enlighten me a few thing of my ride... I have a few issue with my Iswara the one with rear number plate at bottom(not really good in specifying the model) Assuming your car is carb engine..1. The car die off at the 1st and 2nd cold start everytime its like not enough fuel supply to the engine, but the car get very smooth after 30 seconds idling.. anyone face this issue? 2. This issue is terbalik pula, sometimes after I switch off the engine, the engine dun want to mati pula... it will still "Run" a few more round before it goes off... 3. Headlamp is too high! Its not illuminating the floor but flashing other people's car, I tried to ask the workshop ppl to adjust but they said it cannot be adjusted but only have to replace with a new one... is there any solution to this? 4. Does adding a ground cable like the one supplied by EricTioh helps a lot to improve the car like air-cond, engine response and FC? please share your thoughts in here... Because I have tight budget not sure if this upgrade worth or not. Note: I've gone thru some of the threads and couldn't get the answer for this and its too tired to gone through all the 27 threads, so I apologize if I've re-posted similar issue that has been solved earlier... 1. Retune the carb & check your autochoke. 2. Ignition timing too advanced / Spark plugs wrong heat range. Go and change to a new set of plugs heat range 6 and ask the mech to retard the distributor a bit. 3. Duno. 4. Helps a bit, not a lot. |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Dec 30 2013, 11:42 PM) yes pretty much the original performance of an iswara. (posted pictures of engine internals before lol) Lol, putting my Iswara to shame. Modded so much but still road warrior only, will definitely lose to your stock car on track. mileage almost 300k km lol... Anyway I'm nearing the end of my modding journey, learnt so much all these years but I think it's time for me to stop. Enough money has been spent, and in some cases, wasted on things which didn't work out. |

Haha.. you're just being modest!
How's the inspira compared to your iswara in terms of power to weight ratio? |

My Iswara modding journey has finally ended! Target horsepower figure has been achieved and car is relatively problem free.
A good lesson I learnt during the final step of my journey - sequential exhaust header with long primaries provides solid gains over the already good PZ 4-2-1 extractor. I don't think there are aftermarket sequential headers for 4g13/5 engines.. had mine custom made. |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Jan 20 2014, 02:04 AM) congratulations bro, still keeping the car right? or moving on? Still keeping the car bro. It'll stay with me until it bites the dust, hehe. Just needs a new coat of paint and she's like new!QUOTE(low yat 82 @ Jan 20 2014, 02:16 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Well, it's custom made stainless steel, 1-3 and 2-4 sequential pairing instead of conventional 1-4 2-3 pairing. Large internal diameter for high rpm application with long primaries so as to keep exhaust velocity high. Gains consistent 10-20 whp over PZ header throughout rpm range. But take with pinch of salt as dyno used for PZ and the one used for this header is different type, dynojet vs. dynapack. But definitely can feel quite significant difference throughout entire range. Cost me RM 1.2k though.. |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Jan 20 2014, 04:18 PM) hehe mine bit the dust i also didn't want to let go. so it's basically either i bite the dust first (and probably my family member get rid of it Haha, I expected biting the dust to be somewhat less violent ending than yours.. oh, you mean the Inspira is your weekend car?*touch wood* speaking of paint, will need new roof sheets as mine is bubbling... maybe i'll get it done 1-2 years time once my inspira officially takes over as my daily ride lol QUOTE(low yat 82 @ Jan 20 2014, 04:36 PM) Theoretically better scavenging cos stronger vacuum pulse generated. So since firing order is 1-3-4-2 then cylinder 1 exhaust cycle will scavenge cylinder 3 intake directly. Combi of cylinders 1 and 3 flow will then assist with filling cylinder 4. And cylinder 4 exhaust pulse will again directly affect no.2. Uh,i hope i got that right... there are some articles on sequential vs non sequential pairing on the net.. |
