i hope they...

remove AA filter like D7100  brows.gif
no cramp auto focus in middle
well dust gate confirm need fix it.

not sure swivel screen like 70D or 700D  hmm.gif  (canon consumer range tactic)
*
I'm not as bothered by the AF point placements, rather I'll be thrilled if they made it more sensitive in low light drool.gif
The swivel screen is convenient, but for a semi-pro it's kind of a vulnerable point tho if the hinge isn't properly designed.

just my noob opinion notworthy.gif

Looks more like downlight shadow to me, see how hard the shadow edges are. Usually ceiling bounce shadows are much softer than this.

oh i thought (all the time) AF point detecting by "colour" instead of "light"  laugh.gif
and i thought D600 is consumer range camera?  tongue.gif  (target for consumer who want FX)

that's why i said ada swivel screen pun tak hairan
*
More like prosumer range la. laugh.gif

The D300/700/800 range bodies are pro level bodies what. Fully weather sealed and all that.
The D3/4 range bodies just go one step above with their integrated vertical grips. laugh.gif
(Of course the difference isn't just the grips alone but just saying, the single digit series are mostly specialist tools.)

Sigh, my boss is pure evil, keep tempting me to jump ship. cry.gif

Not that I can't see canon's good sides, their screen especially, no matter 60D or 5DMKIII, the colors just pop compared to nikon's.
Plus the button layout is honestly superior when it comes to changing settings single handedly (My experience lah at least) rclxub.gif

But I still like Nikon's ergonomics and material choice. Canon's rubber too damn rough and solid, although that's supposed to make it last longer.

Sure or not? Any example?

I held a MKIII a few times. It actually feels very nice in the hands.

*
You've stated yourself that you've handled the MKIII a few times. So I'm sure you can see the differences if you use them side by side. sweat.gif

Yes, I've put it in my sweaty hand a few time but I've not used it to compare side by side with a Nikon.

I take it they have similar picture style settings to our Nikon. Bump up saturation with a slightly warmer WB and you're there.
Looks good. Never knew they had different flower collections.
*
Nah, it's the characteristics of the displays themselves rather than the photos. I can program both cameras to produce similiar results when viewed on a computer. But right in camera there's a definitive difference between the displays of both brands.

Best to forget it, since they're launching the D610 in the coming two weeks just to fix that problem

wao xD
nikon cant touch screen take
but nikon like have the best quality

A touchscreen is a moot point in a DSLR dude, think of it, one of the main reasons of purchasing one is due to that optical viewfinder+phase detection sensor combo.
Using a touchscreen to focus on a DSLR is painful at best, if you are sure that is going to be your main method of focusing, just get the NEX 5R can already.

In case I'm not clear enough, using the viewfinder to focus on a DSLR is much faster than using it's live view+touchscreen (if available)

and photokem tell me can extend warranty if kena drop or masuk air also can claim warranty ? true or not?
XD

That really depends on how careful you think you are. Accidents can happen, but the question is how much more are you paying to cover it only.

For price reference, you can check here, usually this thread has one of the lowest prices around.

gunzerdude ok i also find this shop is the cheapest
omg the price eos 600D like not bad also KO = =
i think i better no go do more research if not fainted= =
hmm why i read they say the eos600d an play filter like fish eye and other stuff and D5100 like not thing to play? is it true? or we can do it by pc?
*
Dude, please take your time and do proper research first, don't rush into things.

Towards the end, any DSLR, no matter the brand will take good photos if you use it properly.
In camera stuff like filters, video and touchscreens are just extras that add to the price which you'll probably use for the first month and then forget about when you are more focused.

Also, asking random questions here is not going to help you if you are that confused about basic things.
The more questions you ask, the more people respond with their own preferences, and eventually you'll end up even more confused to begin with.

Go read up basic tutorials about camera operation, and then go to a store, get a feel for the brand and models that you prefer.
Whichever one feels the best to you and is within your budget, then just get that.

Good luck with your purchase thumbup.gif

Wont really recommend 50 1.8 if you're going to use it as your only lens, you might find it too tight sometimes with a DX body

Try 35 1.8g instead

QUOTE(alpha001 @ Sep 26 2013, 01:05 AM)
Prime lens is the best to practise, you will zoom using ur legs instead of lens. Futhermore, it's sharp and cheap...
*
This is what I mean by overwhelming yourself doh.gif doh.gif

These guys here all have experience with DSLRs already.
And their advice also applies to such that prime lenses are useful, but only if you know how to use it properly

silrave You on the other hand obviously are very new to this, so just get the kit lens first, the versatility does help you out especially at this stage.

Once you are moderately acquainted with using a DSLR, then only you start thinking of other stuff.

haha xD ya
now just left to choose the camera then start learn XD
tripod those i don think is neccessory for beginner?
just need to ensure check what? and need to buy what?XD
any advice?
*
Just make sure everything is functioning well.
All you need with the camera is just the included bag and a memory card,
The class does not matter that much for now since the one you get for free will do the job just fine.

Avoid any free tripods, throw it back to the seller and ask for a rebate.
As I said, tripods and other accessories are non-essential at this stage, worry about basic stuff first.

Oh, another thing, do not get talked into buying a filter for the lens that costs 100+
There are plenty of sources that offer the same quality for much much less.

gunzerdude ya today that photokem person say need buy that filter cost 100 = =
oh ya how to test the camera functioning?
open camera run all the set? auto ,p,m, those setting?

*
As I've said, please read up tutorials on basic camera operation first, then you'll have an idea of what to test.

To do this, ask yourself first how much are you willing to spend, then narrow down your choice to ONLY 2 models that is within your budget. (In this case I see that you've already fixed your mind on the D5100/600D)
Read up on their features and operations, how to access what feature, and what to expect when you use them.

This will give you adequate knowledge to test out the camera for defects.

P.S.

The price of 1699 is already there in the link I gave you.

If you want cheap filters, Digicolor @ Mutiara Complex has loads of them, single-coated and non coated ones. Prices are around 20 bucks each depending on size smile.gif
