If no more warranty, you can try opening it. That's the only way...

They would be puzzled at a dot with legs  biggrin.gif

But as mentioned before, you might have to pay a price for giving the wrong description if they open to find an ant inside...  ohmy.gif

nodeffect, OP stated that his warranty expires in 4 years time.

Nah, I dont think they will questioned me with my descripition, you wont expect an ant to be inside of your monitor right?

If the monitor assemble in proper way, I think the ant shouldnt manage to be there at very first place? hmm.gif

Btw, the called me just now, tomorrow they come change new one rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

True that. It doesn't make sense that someone would want an ant there in the first place. laugh.gif

Dell's at fault and they should honor their warranty policies.

You know any experienced person who can disassemble the monitor?

A good shop maybe  sad.gif

Once familiar with dis-assembling LCD/LED monitors, it can be quite easy although not for the faint hearted (speaking from experience here). There may be warranty seals on the sides and if these are broken then warranty may be void. wink.gif

I called them again today!

I tell them, different story, saying that there is a black dot inside my monitor and I couldnt get rid of it.

I didnt mention it was an ant, just a black dot.

Guess whattttt, they will do 1 to 1 exchange in 4 days  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif

You can say its looks like a "manufacturing defect" if questioned. laugh.gif
