If its still under warranty then nothing can be done. If try to disassemble then could void your warranty. Another choice is to send for RMA, and let them do the work instead...  icon_rolleyes.gif

What is RMA? sweat.gif

RMA stands for "Return Merchandise Authorisation", in other words send for warranty... wink.gif

Nooo, I tried to talk to Dell, one full hour of conversation, and the result, they call this as "Natural Disaster".

There is nothing they can do about it.

This is a new monitor, and now I have to spent the whole time viewing dead body of this guy when I use my monitor cry.gif

So.. You need to wait untill warranty expired than you need to disassemble all part and remove the ant.

Approx >4 years till the warranty expired. rclxub.gif

Just to share my experience. Got ant inside my Samsung tablet. Send to service center and they do accept it. But not rma, more to servicing. And it's free.

i'm going to service center by myself instead of calling them

lol Dell Dell Dell...

the next time someone asks me what its like owning a Dell, my reply would be,

"Like a natural disaster"

did they even bother to quote you a 'repair' price?
*
Nope, they totally cant do anything.

I ask him, just send some technician to assist me, as I believe they do have proper tools to disassemble the monitor.

But they cant, since they said, for monitor, mostly they will do 1 to 1 exchange, I dont want to change the monitor shakehead.gif

The technical support cant even tell me how is the structure of the monitor in details. sad.gif

They would be puzzled at a dot with legs  biggrin.gif

But as mentioned before, you might have to pay a price for giving the wrong description if they open to find an ant inside...  ohmy.gif

nodeffect, OP stated that his warranty expires in 4 years time.

Nah, I dont think they will questioned me with my descripition, you wont expect an ant to be inside of your monitor right?

If the monitor assemble in proper way, I think the ant shouldnt manage to be there at very first place? hmm.gif

Btw, the called me just now, tomorrow they come change new one rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif
