QUOTE(lex @ Jul 24 2013, 03:00 PM) Nooo, I tried to talk to Dell, one full hour of conversation, and the result, they call this as "Natural Disaster".There is nothing they can do about it. This is a new monitor, and now I have to spent the whole time viewing dead body of this guy when I use my monitor |

QUOTE(aneip @ Jul 24 2013, 04:57 PM) Just to share my experience. Got ant inside my Samsung tablet. Send to service center and they do accept it. But not rma, more to servicing. And it's free. logically, monitor should be easier for this to be done i think..but i dont know why dell cant handle situation like this i'm going to service center by myself instead of calling them ty for you opinion though |

QUOTE(h@ksam @ Jul 24 2013, 09:23 PM) lol Dell Dell Dell... Nope, they totally cant do anything.the next time someone asks me what its like owning a Dell, my reply would be, "Like a natural disaster" did they even bother to quote you a 'repair' price? I ask him, just send some technician to assist me, as I believe they do have proper tools to disassemble the monitor. But they cant, since they said, for monitor, mostly they will do 1 to 1 exchange, I dont want to change the monitor The technical support cant even tell me how is the structure of the monitor in details. QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Jul 24 2013, 06:01 PM) do keep this thread updated because i had similar problem except the ant is still alive. want to know if dell will honor the warranty. I called them again today!I tell them, different story, saying that there is a black dot inside my monitor and I couldnt get rid of it. I didnt mention it was an ant, just a black dot. Guess whattttt, they will do 1 to 1 exchange in 4 days Failed Dell |

QUOTE(UserU @ Jul 25 2013, 10:47 AM) They would be puzzled at a dot with legs Nah, I dont think they will questioned me with my descripition, you wont expect an ant to be inside of your monitor right? But as mentioned before, you might have to pay a price for giving the wrong description if they open to find an ant inside... nodeffect, OP stated that his warranty expires in 4 years time. If the monitor assemble in proper way, I think the ant shouldnt manage to be there at very first place? Btw, the called me just now, tomorrow they come change new one |
