Yea it looks like an extension to a LNB. (my uncle used it)
Worth the one time fee if you have new cables.
Luckily when I installed PVR this year, we used one old conceal cable and one lay outside the house(lorong house)
after a few months the old cable kong. If use SatCR then not worth it lol.

It's an extension of LNB. then one cable connects to it run to your decoder then split the cable into 2.
Then in settings configuration page they set to SatCR.

no... You have SatCR installed to the LNB, then it will have a RG6 cable running all the way to your decoder, then split into two cables without any other extra equipments.
in other words, the SatCR at the LNB is doing all the work.

SatCR is somehing that connects to your 2 LNB output, so the LNB looks longer. Then a cable will be connected to one port of SatCR and run to your decoder and split into two cables.
