Perhaps they should justify the increase by saying that it is to discourage too much tv viewing?

So meaning there are 2 tuner for Astro PVR but we just need to input the cable from SatCR to Tuner 1 and set the mode to SatCR will do? BTW, where can I buy this SatCR LNB?

Hi guys! I'm a new Astro Byond subscriber.
May I know why the channel number and time are not shown up on Astro Byond decoder?
The installers tell me that this is normal because I'm using the new decoder, is that true?

There are so many types of decorders out there!! All I know of many if standby it shows time when active channel number If there is one like what u say then thats quite silly of them isnt it?

Thanks for your reply. I just called to Astro Customer Service and the operator also said it's normal as I'm the latest model of Astro Byond decoder. 

I don't think it's normal, because my B.yond decoder shows clock when I put it on standby mode.
Also, the channel number I currently on when I'm watching TV.

It may be due to the fact that I'm using the new model of decoder. 
I hate this new decoder.

Yea, I do notice the difference in audio performance, but at the same time, the disappearance of channel number on Astro Byond decoder is rather inconvenience to my old parents...

To me, to give a box not showing channel number is very silly,saving costs but showing thier stupidity!!   BTW about Audio thru coaxial or optical I thought the HDMI cable settles everything,I use HDMI to HTS,any difference then?

Black out nope. I think the black out should be due to the cabling or the signal issue. Sometimes when is raining it will black out blink for few times then back to normal. Unless it is too heavy rain till it black out for few second then display the error msg.

guys, wanna ask, now i'm using old decoder. It's at the "ruang tamu", but also connect it to my room.

now plan to change new decoder(beyond hd), but is it all the ports are the same with old one, coz now i worry i can't use back same setup to connect to my room tv.

since i do not want to resetup anything else, i think better i just buy av to rf modulator/extender should be enough, right. (i don't mind my room quality remain SD like old decoder)

Hi, I also got call from Astro Perak centre today asking me to upgrade decoder to B.yond. Told me that few HD channel will be added at additional cost of RM12/month.

So based on first page, I suppose I can upgrade to B.yond decoder FOC and without having to add new channels. And I did not get so far any official notification from Astro that the old decoder will be phased out.

Aiseh, then i have purchased at the wrong decoder. Should have done it on the one connected to Smart TV, then i can record it via the TV instead of the PVR.
