i think astro should adopt the system where the system can distinguish that customer subscribe the HD or not.. what i meant is channel like AXN SD is same feed like AXN HD right? so for HD customer get only HD version and not SD version. but for different feed from SD, it remains.. i wish astro would done that.. save a lot of channel redundancy.. just my 2 cent..

Lyngsat has unreliable info. My profesional decoder says it. Their HD transponder is in S2, 8PSK, 3/5.

Any additional info on that? Also, you should let Lyngsat know about their (Astro) current HD in DVB-S2 one.

Assuming all HD channels on Astro had 10mbps video bitrate, i'm fine with it.

For mio TV, only HD chs are offered. Thus is unlike Starhub, who still stubbornly offers SD n HD versions of the same chs.

mio does this by offering only HD boxes by default. For viewerswith SD CRT TV, they just need to select SD fr the screen settings. The STB will convert the HD chs to SD by letter boxing it.

In this way, bandwidth is saved.

do you get the volume issue as well? sometimes you can't adjust the volume

I set my Astro volume to max the configured the remote to control my TV volume. So nvr encounter issue with it.

Just subscribed last month and now pending to install my byond iptv on mid November. Signed for Astro Superpack 1 and Maxis 10MBps for RM248 per month.
If the RM123 is true, it Supercheap!! I would rather cancel current pending subscription to get the new price. 

To get Dolby Digital audio:
1) You must set the Digital Audio Settings to Dolby Digital not Stereo (Analogue & Digital)
2) You must connect either the coax Digital or HDMI to your Amp
3) Go to a HD channel with olby audio like HBO HD or FMP HD

So bro, 5.1 from samsung PVR thru coaxial or what ?

just wanna ask..
install astro yesterday..
then after finished setup, technician said that wait for 30 minutes, if the video dont show out call the shop
after one hour still nothing happen
i call the shop, and they ask about my location..bla2..
then wait another 2 hours...call again...problem still the same..
and till midnight still dont get anything..on that time decoder show "CH 101" only, cannot change to other channel
..
suddenly my house black out
and the decoder become like this

..
call technician, he cannot come today ..

so what the problem actually? 

Easy to make such mistake when the customer service personnel is on personal and company's Twitter/Facebook account at the same time.
