QUOTE(adriangan @ Jul 27 2013, 10:59 AM) Ohhh i see! Thanks for your reviews, appeciated, but the thing is the Fs oil i have is now cheaper than the semi ones in SC, can i say to optimize better performance i use FS,but change early say around 5k-7k? The best is use FS EO but change it every 5k. Or the most best way is i go hunt in my supermarket for better value semi oils? Thanks! I would do it if ayam dribing bimmer. P1 oso can but not worth it. Up to u, u got money or company car or company pay ur car maintenance then hell go use FS and change it every 5k. Like david said, change more regular is better than a long lasting oil. This is because u cannot open the engine internal and clean with sabun everytime u change oil. Change oil more frequent is better because less time dirty oil stay inside. And dont forget there will also be metal debris inside EO because of piston sliding with cylinder. The more often u change the lesser build up of these debris. |

QUOTE(drfeelgood @ Jul 27 2013, 12:45 PM) this is an open forum. people can advise whatever they want.... only up to you to accept or not. not to forget every ayams butt and feeling is different.FS and SS got nothing to do with the oil thickness (or viscosity). However FS proven to withstand much higher stress, heat and shear forces compared to SS and Mineral is the lowest. Maybe those forummer mean old proton engines, need those dense 20W-50 oils which usually come in Mineral due to wear and tear. thus the piston rings etc have more gap, so better to use denser oils. option A may work and gooding for ayam 1 but not necessary ayam 2. Hence, get the advice and try to apply it. If your butt likes it then its gooding for u then continue with it. Otherwise, change back to the original setup thats suits you. end of the day, its up to your ayam decision. |

QUOTE(drfeelgood @ Jul 27 2013, 01:05 PM) Due to famous Tak Tak Tak sound.... I guess even if you change it wont solve the problem.also after Proton Edar SC in Malacca try to repair 2 timez, but cannot solve the problem, I demand them to stopwasting my time. And I got the whole brake assembly changed! THis is because it is from the same supplier. UNless they change the design or supplier. If not, when the dust collects back again, then it will still got tak tak tak sound. This is why garybenjamin said P1 suggest us |

QUOTE(drfeelgood @ Jul 27 2013, 07:15 PM) The problem with the OEM drum brake assembly is defective design. That is my point.after you claim it under warranty, the problem is normally solved, if they try to repair it.... they are merely grinding the brake shoe. This will not solve the problem. Not the dust. After you change it, it must be a non defective drum brake. touch wood, mine has got no sound after they changed it. How u noe it is not the same supplier ? As far as i noe it is still the same although this issue has been complained by so many ppl. How u noe it is not the same design ? This 1 i dono. If there is a new design that will not produce tak tak music then pls let me know, i want go n change oso. Otherwise if it is the same design n supplier then u will get the tak tak music no matter what. Just a matter of time. |

QUOTE(drfeelgood @ Jul 27 2013, 10:45 PM) I have had the rear drum brake assembly replaced last year. now it has done 10k kms. wait longer.the sound was eliminated. that is the outcome. 10k is only a guide depending on ur braking habit. hard brake more often, you will get more dust accumulated. my own car usually somewhere btw 15k |

QUOTE(davidke20 @ Jul 27 2013, 11:07 PM) Just incase if you don't know, if your pollen filter is the 1 on top that type, your dryer(paper cabin filter) installation is different. Let's hope you didn't crumple the paper filter. from the vid, then my installation shud be correct.the sound only can hear from level 3 onwards as you can see in my video. barely can listen on level 2. just want to make sure everything is ok. |
