My personal rule of thumb is half the recommended intervals.

So for my manual tranny, the recommended interval is 40,000kms, I change the gear oil at 20,000kms.

For Cvt Trannys, the recommended intervals is 60,000kms, then change it at 30,000kms.

Why? To maintain your gearbox with earlier gear oil changes is cheaper than changing a clogged up gearbox. And to your tranny, it is working with cleaner gear oil at shorter intervals.

Win Win situation!

There's no mention of any filter change in Auto GB maintenance....
