QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Jul 23 2013, 10:17 PM) 12,000 for a CVT box vs 4,000 for a 4AT box. Esso lubes not bad what?First, it is too huge of a gamble. Secondly, I could be held responsible for the words I posted if complication arise due to the usage of CVT Fluid other than Esso EZL 799. They joined with Mobil... so not bad la.... |

QUOTE(dares @ Jul 23 2013, 10:42 PM) If bought from Proton, Campro engine assembly is the same price as the CVT gearbox, around RM12k not including labour. could an alternative be to fix a FL 4AT if CVT kong? but the difference is, Campro is familiar to many bawah pokok workshop....CVT, not so much. Summore CVT difficult to find halfcut. So in that sense, the CVT is more valuable than the engine. |

guys, if I wanted to upgrade my rims to 15".
What size tyre would be advisable? I am looking at 195/55R15 but 1 tyre shop told me use 195/50R15. Would the latter be less comfortable? |

QUOTE(davidke20 @ Jul 24 2013, 07:21 AM) May be you should have just started off with honesty, stating you import the VS. Tell the truth how much you need to spend on the packaging and shipping costs, probably cost more than the product itself just to be sure it doesn't blew your testicles when those pain in the butt customer shoot you right back on your d***. I have absolutely nothing against you, I booked 1 of those VS, until today still haven't arrive. The challenge for ordinary people online trading with China seller is really pain in the butt, not to mention the waiting time, credit card info, product warranty issues that dragged down to further postage issue, last but not least the accountability and credibility of most China traders are questionable. Wow this is something new... hmm....So, ask myself again, if there's 1 seller here selling the same RM57 product at triple of it price. Provided the seller tells me how much it weight the shipping cost, packaging material, so as processing and handling fee. On top of that, the I roughly can see the seller earn 20~30 bucks profit, it's fairly reasonable. Instead of risking my own credit card, I'd use the service from the seller. Instead of waiting for something I've paid online, but after 1 month still nothing come, wanna complain also dunno complain where Frankly, look at the way this going, your sales thread is going no where. I wouldn't say you lie, but it seems too much of changes to your posts after your credibility being challenged. Yeah you can bring forumer go round garden keep telling 1 "excuse"(wished I can use the word LIE, but that sounded harsh ain it?). May be can make up a summarized story or something like "My friend in China has a factory, and got loads of worker DIY such high capacity voltage stabilizers. I import them with reasonable price, but our government screw me up cause I need to pay import tax, then the packaging material gotta use serious stuff also coz I scare it break the damn thing. Those product you saw on TaoBao is exactly from my friends factory, they're selling it cheap as you can see on line is because those have not gone through import tax, and their free shipping is within mainland China. Other than that I have to bear the warranty cost, because I have to prepare a few extra unit, just incase 1 or 2 nutter head out there screw up, I'll have to give away a unit or 2 of my spare VS as a replacement. 1 must understand, if you order anything from China, means no warranty. Will you spend another 30~40 shipping cost to send the faulty product back to China manufacturer? After they confirmed your unit is entitled for warranty, you'll have to spend another 30~40 to ship it back?! So, I provide a service, and I take the risks you dare not to. Use my product confidently. I make your problem mine, and we solve it together with money because ayam a nicklehead! You pay me enough, your problem solved. If not, you go TaoBao and suffer your own consequences." Aint the above sound better? I bet nobody will shoot you anymore because they're understandable terms. You should stop using the MY FRIEND DIY "excuse" anymore, because seriously it really doesn't work and make you look EXTREMELY STUPID in your own sales thread. In mainland China, 1 doesn't need a friend/family. Only business partner. I have business associates in China hire a girl to bear his child, and after get a baby girl, he fire the girl and the baby all together. That is called "business deal gone sour". Don't need to shoot me back, I'm just good heart come here and drop you an advice. If you can take it, please use it by all means. If not, just forget about it. dunno how le...... hmmm.... anyway, below is a photo of my Diy stuff, ready to fix. Front Grille FLX, Orange Snake and 10 Metres of Diy grounding cables with all the lugs.... Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 24 2013, 09:47 PM) I think the dealer in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan has the SV model. At least when he introduced to me, he kept asking me to take it and didn't tell me that it is out of stock. Good for you. But after that, I decided to go for CVT Exec model. Dont be penny wise, pound foolish..... there must be a big catch in the sv.... a hidden prawn in the noodle.... buy sv at your own risk. |

QUOTE(davidke20 @ Jul 24 2013, 10:33 PM) This 1 if rosaked... ... in case if you don't realize the left bearing is busted, the right is new lucky you are safe.....![]() Become like this ![]() The flat bedded rollers will deform, and the whole cone will detached from the housing, so as your wheel (my wheel in this case) Added on properly designed car Picture below, is already a rosaked bearing. Pay attention to the ball seated at 9 o'clock. It has free play, meaning to say the steel ball already shrink due to wear & tear friction. As and when you wheel spin, the surface contact reaches this ball, the surface will knock on the contact and will emit humming sound, which will channel to your cabin. It can stay rosak for a very long time, atleast 5~6 years without the ball fly off. ![]() The bearing structure is so strong, before it deform, some other thing already gave up ![]() Get the picture? haiz.... small thing like this also so dangerous.... how are we to troubleshoot and be prepared for this defect? |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Jul 25 2013, 02:56 AM) actually... Thats why. They can do what they think is profitable.may not be as bad as he described, but see proton... ain't a saint. protected manufacturer by our govt, go figure. And I am not talking bad about any so called discount? I am talking about proton supposedly giving a SV with 2 air bags and with a price reduction of almost 9k! "Got no so big hole for all the frogs to jump in one" - Cantonese saying...... Mengsuan and all those SV supporters can say whatever they want.... belum kena belum tahu.... sudah kena.....hisap jari sendiri ajelah... I kena already with my Tiara.... almost dejavu for me. my friend's Tiaras, Rm36k. Mine only 27K... not even 1 year plus, my drive shaft patah....front wheel bearing spoil.... after warranty period, gearbox had to replace 1st and 5th gears....proton mechanic admit, there are visible differences between the 2 Tiara's gearboxes..... so for all those who support and bought SV.... Good Luck, may your gearbox not be a recon gearbox made in some communist country or your engine not be some recon reject engine from some third world country bought murah murah pukal by proton.... and God Bless. |

QUOTE(davidke20 @ Jul 25 2013, 07:35 AM) Jon, all Tiara having the same issues not only yours. If you think you paid cheap to get a lemon car, other Tiara owner thought just about the same as you, coz most the Tiara (if not all) lemoned. Ha ha ha... you are knowledgable about protons... Do you know before Shawie called SAVVY, they actually name it as TRM? It stands for Tiara Replacement Model. The silly Plotong, only God knows what kinda rubbish they have in their mind. Getting the best Renault engine D4F in compare with the old Zitroen AX. There are still 2010 unregistered Savvy H Line around, come with ABS and dual air bags full spec. The last I found was 28k + 5 years warranty Frankly, Plotong can't handle foreign engine/transmission. End of story. As for SV or not, basically its a marketing strategy. The only different between SV and Standard is only the rear boot handle they didn't cover paint, rear cabin lamp missing. Basically in compare with BLM N-Line and B-Line, they're the same with slight different in terms of accessories provided. If you in doubt, please arrange a date with me, I'll bring you go to my bestest showroom let you slow slow inspect what are the difference. If you need to see it from the inside, then I'll have to try to book Sijangkang QC inspection centre liao. anyway see my previous post.... a few of my friends bought the Tiara when it was full price. Rm36K full spec, with radio cassete player, 4 power windows, tinted windows, metallic paint.... I was with an old Fiat, then got sold to buy the Tiara when proton dropped price to Rm27K!! Nothing changed, still full spec, with radio cassete player, 4 power windows, tinted windows, metallic paint.... I thought I got a damn good bargain.... fast forwards today, my friend is still driving his Tiara. Changed timing belt a few times already. Drive shaft never patah before, gearbox still functioning... my Tiara? after I had to cough up almost 1.2K to repair the Gearbox, I sold it off. So in my experience, the is always a prawn behind the mee if proton suddenly drop price so much for no blooming reason. |
