Yup, correct there, Bro! or until the water level stable. Hv 2ensure there are no more air pockets trapped in the internal waterways... However, no worries there cos then the partial vacuum (created on engine cooling) wld draw fr the reservoir. True? Juz need 2chk & top up the reservoir if necessary... QUOTE(drfeelgood @ Jul 28 2013, 05:41 PM) Yea. Tap water is full of sediments and other gunk like rust, minerals.... Yup, was considering Toyota one but with so much talk of imitation arnd, was also considering Caltex Extended Coolant...similar.Distilled water is pure and devoid of such gunk. Mixed with the concentrated coolant, and you are set to go. I prefer Toyota Long Life coolant... very good coolant! However, me oledi had 2 bottles (2x0.5L) in hand... So why waste, rite, Bro? Juz mayb need 2replace agin after 2 yrs? This post has been edited by zeone: Jul 28 2013, 07:53 PM |

QUOTE(zeone @ Jul 28 2013, 07:46 PM) Yup, correct there, Bro! Actual reason for seasoned magician to draw air pocket from waterway after coolant changed is to prevent air pocket stuck at the thermostat. When that happen, your thermostat will not react on the current temperature. However, that's uncommon and nowadays most magician dun gibapuq adyHv 2ensure there are no more air pockets trapped in the internal waterways... Many Jap/Euro engines hv a special air bleed screw 2 clear possible trapped air in sys... However, Sagas, old gen & new now, dun hv such a convenience tho... I'll be getting my flx se white this tues/wednesday, will be my first car as im just a fresh grad. I havent test drive it yet cos i've been so busy.
What will I be expecting of the ride? So far I've driven most in kelisa and viva...no experience with proton yet.. Any upgrades that I should make? Not on the aesthetics but rather the safety/comfort/basic performance.. My usage are mostly town driving and highways once awhile. |

As for basic mods - armrest, auto brakelock, cabin filter, grounding cable, better tires. |

Anything but the stock silverstones. Falken ze912, Michelin XM2, Yokohama C-drive 2, Neuton NT8000, Kumho KU37 etc. etc. etc.If you prefer more comfort you can opt for higher profile tires 195/55/15 (stock is 195/50/15). |
