QUOTE(Sifha238 @ Aug 2 2013, 06:33 PM) Should we play 3-5-2 with 3 center back, 2 wing back ? We have always used wingers but the fact is your current selection are either not very good-Young & Valencia, not ready yet-Zaha, or wildly inconsistent and a bit of a tool-Nani. We not currently got Kanchelskis / Giggs / Beckham / Ronaldo (Obviously we still have Giggs, but he's not a winger anymore). So, problem of sub-standard wingers. Raphael and Evra, both cracking players but who are great going forwards. Being wing-backs gives them more freedom to attack with extra defensive cover behind. Understudies could be Valencia (good at running up and down the right touchline lots) and Buttner (best have as many defenders between him and your own goal as possible). Sorted We have 5 center back that can be used anytime (unless they get injured at same time Vidic, Ferdinand, Evans, Jones, Smalling (sorted by who i think better) You will still need to sign a central midfielder, but I challenge you to find any formation which will work with only 1 good player in the middle (Carrick). Just buy Fellaini/Khederia and put us out of our misery. |

QUOTE United Should Play 3-5-2 Ok Moyes/United fans/MUFC in general, time's up. I've waited for you to figure this out for yourselves but you haven't, so I'll solve your problems for you. Here it is...get ready... 3-5-2! That's right, that fancy foreign formation. Why? Well, let me explain: Up-front RVP and Rooney both able to play in their favoured 'out and out striker' roles AND Kagawa behind them in the 'number 10' role everyone is so keen to see him in. Sorted. "But we always use wingers!" I hear Utd fans protest. Yes, you have always used wingers (and to very good effect) but the fact is your current selection are either not very good (Young, Valencia), not ready yet (Zaha), or wildly inconsistent and a bit of a tool (Nani). You've not currently got Kanchelskis & Giggs or Beckham & Giggs or Ronaldo & Giggs (Obviously you still have Giggs, but he's not a winger anymore). So, problem of sub-standard wingers: Sorted Raphael and Evra, both cracking players but who are better going forwards then back. Being wing-backs gives them more freedom to attack with extra defensive cover behind. Understudies could be Valencia (good at running up and down the right touchline lots) and Buttner (best have as many defenders between him and your own goal as possible). Sorted Centre backs can be any from the large selection of good but regularly injured selection and Utd. If Jones is in then he can step up into midfield to help out and do his funny faces there. Sorted You will still need to sign a central midfielder, but I challenge you to find any formation which will work with only 1 good player in the middle (Carrick). Just buy Fellaini/Khederia and put us out of our misery. Anyway, that's my plan. Bearing in mind the fact that Moyes definitely won't use this formation, I can confidently say that if Man Utd employ these ideas they will win the Premier League, Champions League and WC2014. Ali PNE P.S. Last season's Premier League champions changing to an unfamiliar three at the back system? What could possibly go wrong? QUOTE(andrewtho @ Aug 1 2013, 10:26 PM) Season 07/08: 2 Goals , 0 assist. I am not question his inflated price. Plus suarez a striker, bale is a midfielder. No need rocket scientists why suarez score more. Season 08/09: 0 Goals, 0 assist. Season 09/10: 3 Goals, 6 assist. Season 10/11: 7 Goals, 1 assist. Season 11/12: 9 Goals, 14 assist. Season 12/13: 21 Goals, 8 assist. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/players...tml/gareth-bale Considering those single digits before the previous seasons, yes? Give credits to the 14 assists, still pretty average to me. Even Luis Suarez scored more goals and more assists than Bale this season and he is worth double Suarez's value? Nah. The extra bonus for Bale is that he is a freekick specialis Anyway, I find it weird for Arsenal to target Suarez this season. Unless they are willing to sacrifice Suarez for the first 8 games of the season, which will be very important for them. A risk worth taking? And what did the figure u post tells u? Improvement! |

No need rocket scientists why suarez score more. If you've noticed that Bale played a free-role last season. He was constantly in front, usually in the middle. As versatile as he can be, his price tag does not justify his abilities. Unless he grooms into a complete forward like Ronaldo, he is not yet a complete player with still room to grow, which explains his one season wonder. Needs more seasons to prove his consistency, so it's suffice to say that he had one good season so far. Only one. As you've questioned my statement of one season, plus you are not answering my question. And what did the figure u post tells u? Improvement! Zlatan could be the new Cantona! PSG star is born to play for United claims Schmeichel
QUOTE Peter Schmeichel believes Zlatan Ibrahimovic was born to be a Manchester United player and would love to see him at the club. The former Red Devils goalkeeper has also hinted at the likeness the Paris Saint-Germain striker has to former United legend Eric Cantona and claims the 31-year-old can make just as big an impact on the club’s supporters. Cantona arrived at Old Trafford from Leeds for just £1.2million in November 1992 and by the end of his first campaign had played a key role in ending United's 26-year wait for a league title before helping the club become a dominant force in the country. Schmeichel told Swedish paper Expressen: 'You've got to ask Zlatan why he hasn't played in England yet, but I'd love to see him at Manchester United. 'I don't know who he supports, but he's a born Manchester United player, he would be absolutely brilliant. 'I think our supporters would love him, if he ever made that move, he wouldn't move again. 'For Zlatan to play the way we love him to play, he has to be Zlatan. |

QUOTE(sinoffire @ Aug 2 2013, 08:15 PM) Those are just media's and pep's talk, just because Moyes said he made a bid doesnt mean he really did that, just like when managers are denying their interest in certain players while in fact they made serious bid.We fans just dont know a thing, as long as we're not close to the management. Maybe if in fact SAF had made many bids on players but keep getting rejection |

Yup. From Schmeichel tweet, he said Cantona move to 11 clubs in France, before joining Leeds.

bale free kick specialist sky rocketed his price? lol. I think it's just good marketing techniques by levy + RM getting despo and being like a kid begging toys from mummy. no way his price is higher than CR.
And besides, look at modric. forced way out of tott, now he's not heard any more. =P well, not that much. if that happens to bale, it's gonna be a hellufa expensive bench warmer soon ;p |

With Barca got Neymar, RM really need to make superstar signing too. Knowing Levy, he will extract every dollar possible. Good news guys, Manchester United have won the Milk Cup for the fifth time in the Cup's history beating Co Tyrone 1-0 thanks to Oliver McBurnie's late header.

realistically our best chance would be signing a player like cabaye/felliani who will definitely strengthen our team. lingard and januzaj can be given some playing time which is a good thing. just like in 95-96, it was the breakout year for fergie fledglings..this season could be the season for a new bunch of future superstars to step up.
