QUOTE(kevyeoh @ Jul 20 2013, 11:30 PM) welbeck should not be a striker...i've noticed him for a long time that his finishing not good so he should play midfield as he's hardworking and work tirelessly... but finishing really damn lousy la.... just his composure, maybe nervous or somethg but today he did get two goals

QUOTE(kevyeoh @ Jul 21 2013, 12:48 AM) that is after he missed a couple more...his conversion rate not so good... Give time. He's struggling for confidence, hopefully Moyes talk with him will change that. He is a good utility player.

I guessed Moyes have to prove himself by leading Man Utd for the 21st title and have good result in Euro in order to attract/convince world class players to join him
if he doesn't signed anyone and win 21st league title, ppl will rant a lot saying he win with Sir Alex's team...bla bla bla..

United never bid twice for a player who is not interested in joining, but this is a sign of how determined DM is to land Cesc. Twice... serious bells ya'll.

Makeover? United bringing the words 'Football Club' back to their badge in attempt to banish Glazer worryQUOTE Manchester United want to restore the words ‘Football Club’ to their club badge after 15 years, in the hope of dispelling the image that the Glazers are only interested in United as a business rather than their history as one of England’s great sporting institutions. Owner Joel Glazer is behind plans to change the badge again after the football reference was removed in a re-design in 1998. New chief executive Ed Woodward has confirmed United have reservations about the current badge which was launched seven years before the Glazers bought the club. ‘I didn’t like that change of badge,’ said Woodward. ‘Joel didn’t like that change. We will look at that and have a think about that. We are a football club, not a business.' But problem is, if they re-use the old badge without the 'devil'.. it's kinda contradicts with our nickname, 'The Red Devils' no? I mean, since we have Fred as our mascot, I believe the 'Devil' needs to be there? I don't mind if they reuse the 'Football Club' layout but don't take away the devil

Jones: I'll play anywhereQUOTE Phil Jones is yet to speak to David Moyes about his long-term position, but he insists he is happy to play anywhere.
The England international enjoyed run-outs in central defence, at full-back and in midfield last season and excelled in every position.
Jones says all the players are relishing life under the new manager and he maintains he will play wherever he is required.
“We haven’t spoken about it yet, but I’m sure as the tour progresses then it will arise,” he told ManUtd.com.
“It’s like I said last season when I was playing right-back, centre-back and centre midfield, I just enjoy playing football and if that means playing in different positions then that’s fine, I just want to play. Hopefully I can play plenty of games.”
Many former players and pundits have tipped Jones as a future United captain and potentially one of the club's best ever players, but the man himself is not getting carried away by the compliments. While flattered by the praise, he insists he remains focused on continuing to work hard.
“Obviously it’s great to hear comments like that, but you’ve still got to prove yourself and go out and do the business on matchday. That’s my aim this season," he declared. http://www.manutd.com/en/Tour2013/Tour2013...-anywhere.aspx#

QUOTE Ryan Giggs has been made Wilfried Zaha’s personal mentor.
Zaha has been told to get changed next to 39-year-old Giggs every day – and to watch and learn from the Manchester United legend.
Zaha is set to be given until January to prove to new boss David Moyes that he does not need to be sent out on loan for more experience.
Moyes has been impressed with £15million signing Zaha in training and recognises the England Under-21 winger has special talents.
Now, he wants the 20-year-old to learn how to make the best of himself from United’s most celebrated star – Giggs.
Welshman Giggs has been made a player-coach - a role he is relishing - by Moyes, after having won more honours than any other player in United’s history.
Zaha has been told to change next to Giggs for training every day, so that he can pick up useful tips and ask for advice.
Everybody inside Old Trafford respects Giggs for the career he has enjoyed and his hunger for success.
Despite displaying plenty of promise in training, Zaha has also already proved he still has a lot to learn.
Zaha turned up to depart for United’s pre-season tour wearing jeans and a T-shirt, and had to change into a club suit inside the airport.
West Ham and Fulham have already enquired about taking Zaha on loan next season, while Crystal Palace would love to have him back at Selhurst Park.
But Zaha has insisted he wants to stay at United and fight for his place and Moyes is planning to give him until January to prove he can make a first-team impact.
If Zaha spends too much time on the substitutes’ bench, however, then Moyes will look again at whether he will allow the player to go out on loan during the January transfer window. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/new...n-giggs-2070277
