QUOTE(ace-user @ Aug 24 2013, 02:56 PM) ok guys, i'm not sure if this is a defect on my new replacement unit or it's normal, but when i try to take picture of my notes, the camera have wavy black lines moving across the screen(like there's a moving fan on top)..i think it only happens when i take picture of white color objects(paper, wall etc) Take it to centre see if they can replace another one for you. |

Hi guys.
I just came back from local mall, was asking the price for HTC One at several shops. The cheapest I could get was RM2100, 1 year warranty by SiS. Apparently Brightstar only offer warranty for Blackberry. I missed the SKMM rebate and right now this is the best deal I can get in Kuantan. I wanna ask you guys opinion whether I shud keep trying to find other dealer, or this is the right price. And I wanna ask what else should I ask/check before buying. I checked the IMEI of a display unit earlier, and the staff helped me with that and I was looking all the way, and he was helpful. Until now, seems legit. Mind giving me 2 cents on this ? |

QUOTE(boscorelli @ Aug 24 2013, 04:53 PM) Hi guys. I just bought my HTC One for RM2030 at lowyat 1 week ago, im not sure with the price in Kuantan but i think 2100 still acceptable but its definitely not the best price i guess. My opinion is depends on how much you like that phone and your budget, if you really like the HTC One and Rm2100 is still within your budget, you can go for it. Can you try again with natural light not artificial light? Could be interference between video framerate and the AC cycles with artificial light. Like if you took a photo of an old CRT one might see the scanlines. Usually happens with high ISO as the AC cycles would mean periodic dimming of the lights. |

Its not "normal" in the sense that it isn't designed to function that way. But IMHO it probably isn't a hardware problem. More of a mixture of conditions, both physical and software that came together to create that. I've personally seen this issue with my old SGS3 under very specific lighting conditions, and then only once with a certain particular firmware and even then only with the stock camera app from Samsung. Your friend's phone does not have this very specific combination.May I ask does it ALWAYS happen under this particular light? What about other lights in the house? How about daytime under indirect sunlight from a window? How about if you use another camera software from the app store? Is this a one time event, or anytime you turn on the camera it occurs? Your mileage may vary. I have not experienced this with my HTC One before. |

Ya I tried with other conditions but it seems fine..I will try more with other conditions and see if the problem exist..I tried taking scenaries outside the house(under the sun) and it doesn't have this issue..I haven't tried with another app bit I'll surely try tomorrow.. |
