Hi, I don't own any unit right one, but I'm very interested to buy a new phone and HTC One was top of my list until someone said that Android's gadget lag after a month of use or so, which I've already read/watch online since a while, but never really took it seriously. I hope here, I can get some response.
Is this true for all Android's gadgetry or the problem is hardware dependent ? I fall in love in the design of HTC One, but now, I'm starting to lean to iPhone 5.
Btw, the person that told me that uses a Note 2.

QUOTE(devil94 @ Aug 8 2013, 09:19 PM) Lag ? It depends on what type of apps are you junking into the phone and my last phone Samsung Galaxy S2 rooted with custom rom have tons of apps without lag Thanks for ur response. So, u mean, it might happen to just any phone regardless of the OS, depending on what kind of apps that we keep installing into the device ? I might just look into that. Does 'rooting w/ custom ROM' is something that average users like me can afford to delve in ? The term is kinda alien to me, sorry that I ask. P/s : Eid Mubarak to HTC One owners that celebrate it. Hopefully we got something from Ramadan that just passed us, and hopefully we'll live long enough to meet it again next year.

LOL..most android phone especially those released since Q3 2013 till now are smoother than iPhone 4, or as smooth as iPhone 4s or 5.. Actually, it the Android system itself, evolves and getting matured.. jellybean marks the maturity of android system.. When Android is equally smooth as iPhone 5, but having more features than iPhone, so u think yourself where your rm2k worth spend. At the end of the day, it's your personal preference.. It's not android nor iPhone is better than the other, they are a totally different ecosystem .. Unless if you ask, is HTC One better than S4, we might have more opinion. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Aug 9 2013, 12:10 AM) cannot compare with iOS. iOS is limited by apple which only can access to those UI. cannot add widget, customize anything by your own. android can add widget, customize homescreen, more and more.. so same hardware, different performance, it's confirmed ady.. so if u heard someone said android lag, this might need to see whats phone he is using, what he do on his phone. mostly lag is caused by limitation of hardware (RAM). when your RAM is 512mb or 1GB, its might not enough. let say for a normal social people.. confirm use, fb, twitter, messenger, viber, whatsapp, line, wechat (i assume he have used these apps). all of these are running in background, and consume RAM. so in the end u might only left 100~200mb free RAM.. hardly to let u access other apps smoothly.. go for any mainstream brand phone with 2gb RAM, i can say hardly notice the laggy in phone. HO,S4,XZ,N4 and others.. I see. Thanks for the input guys. Really helpful. Customization and pinch perfect performance is something to add to the experience, and the whole evolution thing ... totally outta my league . Some of us really into these gadgetry, phone and stuff. PMed seven mobile whether can use SKMM for One, and if whether got stock or not. Anyone knows any other dealer worth their penny ? This post has been edited by boscorelli: Aug 9 2013, 12:42 AM

Hi guys.
I just came back from local mall, was asking the price for HTC One at several shops. The cheapest I could get was RM2100, 1 year warranty by SiS. Apparently Brightstar only offer warranty for Blackberry. I missed the SKMM rebate and right now this is the best deal I can get in Kuantan.
I wanna ask you guys opinion whether I shud keep trying to find other dealer, or this is the right price. And I wanna ask what else should I ask/check before buying. I checked the IMEI of a display unit earlier, and the staff helped me with that and I was looking all the way, and he was helpful. Until now, seems legit.
Mind giving me 2 cents on this ?

QUOTE(OC4/3 @ Aug 25 2013, 06:48 PM) If you don't mind not seeing the unit in person,Satu Gadget do postage service as well Their One 32GB Silver is ~RM2k and total price you will still save money when compared to buying local Cons is you never get to inspect beforehand That's the predicament. Some even sell at RM 1949.00 online. Btw, the first shop I went yesterday offer me RM 2170 for white and 20 ringgit less for black. No red available in all shops. I'm still thinking. I usually change phone once in 3 years, so still wondering whether worth it or not.
