lightning owners on overclocker net don really using the stock bios, the dual bios function allowed you to flash the ln2 to custom bios which unlocks the power limit to 300%, even with stock bios my lightning with afterburner 18 could voltage boost to 1.245v, problems is l suffer from vdrops, 780ti kingpin edition and 290x lightning comes with power hungry 8+8+6 power pin, l don really think enthusiasts who owns these cards would let nvidia silly voltage limit to limit thier oc potentials, these cards are more into benchmark rather than gaming,

u mean the rog mars, poseidon and matrix? asus is gd, superb in cooling solution with their dcu2 tech but thier custom pcb are not as gd as evga or lightning thus oc potential hardly to compete with evga classy series and lightnings, IMHO*

what kind of ROG card u are hoping for besides asus 3 specialty cards? lm not sure whether pcb plays important part to oc, but l suppose it all comes down to silicon lottery? asus dcu2 TOP cards seems to be able to compete very well. l highly doubt gtx790 will get custom cooling, look at titan, until now only got windforce version!?

l think every 790 will be on reference design, look at the gtx 690 but hey, it will be the fastest card take a look at nvidia assassin creed 4 performance guide, only 690 can max out, seriously this game makes me wanna to flip my pc table

dcu2 got a lots of oc headroom due to the superb cooling check ur ASIC roughly u will know how high can it goes
