hey wanna ask expert here..i just upgrade to gtx760 and changed to 600w PSU. do i need to get any extra cooler fan for the GPU? so far i never overclock my system. i see u guys installed all sort of cooler system in your system?

All std or custom factory gpu already have an excellent cooling system nowadays.. all u need to do is to make sure ur cpu case have a good air flow in it, with the use of intake and exhaust principal of operation.. the trick is u must set the fan location and port to minimize the vacuum or static air effects in the cpu case.. that is to allowed the cool air in and the hot air out flawlessly thus making ur gpu run cooler... cooler gpu means smooth performance... icon_idea.gif

In general, no need unless, as mentioned above, your casing airflow is very poor.

what brand is yours and how's your temp like?

It is common. Typically, reference cards employ centrifugal fan that ejects heat outside your casing. Non-reference cards on the other hand uses axial fans, coupled with complex heat pipe coolers that usually performs slightly better than reference cooler. But the heat is ejected and circulated inside your casing, it is not blown outside from your casing. Your Leadtek GTX 760 should be getting roughly 80 C at full load.

try check temp then try manually throttle fan speed using software like Msi AfterBurner to keep cool and reduce a little bit ur gpu temp

Temperature is on the high side of 80C. As I was earlier explaining elsewhere, the feature of GPU Boost 2.0 is that the GPU will try to expand all available headroom to achieve the boost clock, until the temperature target of 80C is reached. So you will usually see the card getting a load temperature of around 80C. Most reference cards also will hit this range. Noise is ok, more often than not, you will hear your casing fans drowning out its noise.

But MSI definitely has a much superior cooling solution. At auto fan settings, temperatures only maxes out at around 70C +, an impressive ~10C less than the temperature target. You can manually tweak the fan settings for an even more impressive temperature profile. smile.gif

As mentioned a few pages back, the MSI GTX760 auto fan setting is too conservative.... full-load with temperatures of 70-71'c but the fan running at only 42% fan speed. rclxub.gif

Really wished owners of GTX760 would post their temperatures and fan speed. Want to see how other cards perform. Of course, want to reassure myself that I bought an expensive card (for it's range) for good reasons..... rclxms.gif

Oh well, will post some pics tonight, idle at 28-29'c after fan speed set to 80% for 10-20 minutes (aircon room set at 25'c with closed casing)..... smile.gif
