Personally i can't justify paying the difference as the price gap is just plain silly

I concur. Also, getting the GTX 770 Lightning purely for its overclocking capability isn't exactly a wise choice, as it has been seriously held in reins by Nvidia. In Afterburner the overvoltage is only up to 12mV and 9% on the Power Limit. Which is a waste really, MSI built such an excellent card, but the overclocking capability has been limited by so much.

Much more reasonably priced 770s like Zotac / Leadtek GTX 770 are definitely the better choice. For factory overlocked cards, 770 AMP! is without a doubt one of the best option available.

this is not really MSI problem, the gap isnt really big in other countries. it is more towards local distro issue. sweat.gif

When you open up GPU-Z, you can check your ASIC score. Also from there, you can read the recommendation on how to interpret those values. tongue.gif

Modern GPU can sustain 100 C no problem
No need to get so worked up about temperature

Fan RPM is not an accurate way to measure, as different fans have different RPM. Best to check the % it's running at, then see if you're comfortable with the noise, and adjust accordingly until you hit a temperature that you're comfortable with.
