QUOTE(kmarc @ Jul 31 2013, 07:22 PM) I sapu-ed the 2nd last MSI. The reference based cards of both Zotac and Leadtek will likely be in the range of 80+ C. I have managed to try out Zotac AMP and it also hovers close to the temperature target of 80 C. Interested to see temperatures of zotac or leadtek. Hope my MSI which is rm350 more expensive is worth it..... |

QUOTE(rav3n82 @ Aug 1 2013, 09:08 AM) QUOTE(zhen^wei @ Aug 1 2013, 09:13 AM) GTX760 ? it is reference cooler. i checked it is same as GTX670. 760 yes, D; D; D; 80c+ while gaming? Haven't tried my card yet i dont know. So far I've never kena 80c card before while gaming but 70 yes will try to spend some times to test the GTX770 huricane III, the load temperature should lower than reference cooler. QUOTE(rav3n82 @ Jul 31 2013, 09:05 AM) The release of GTX 770 really killed off second hand prices of GTX 680. By default, a stock 770 is already on par or slightly faster than quite a number of factory overclocked 680s in the market. Brand new stock GTX 770 from Zotac starts from RM1349 only. But then, I dont see any GTX670 or GTX660 dropping price either. Still got people selling at RM1100. Dont know how la, is it the market dont know how to adjust itself or people just neglect newer models and wait for price police come. I have not often seen this here. But i have to post to keep ati user quiet because i remember 2012 was the year of ATI but things have changed this year.
AMD has announced a host of new additions to its Gaming Evolved program. AMD formally announced the new titles at an event in San Diego today, and has the games on showcase there. The list of new games added to the program is as follows: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow; published by Konami, developed by MercurySteam Final Fantasy XIV; published by Square Enix, developed by Square Enix Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded; published by Replay Games, developed by N-Fusion Interactive Murdered: Soul Suspect; published by Square Enix, developed by Airtight Games Pirate 101; published and developed by KingsIsle Entertainment Shadow of the Eternals; published and developed by Precursor Games Thief; published by Square Enix, developed by Eidos Montreal And compare to Nvidia Upcoming Titles Assassins Creed 4 The Witcher 3 Evil Within Batman Arkham Origins Splinter Cell:Black List Watch Dogs The Bureau Xcom Declassified Mad Max 2014 and all are DX11 titles. Lost Planet is also an Nvidia title but wont support Dx11 So looking at AMD titles this year do not have AAA title accept BF4. This post has been edited by Desprado: Aug 1 2013, 02:38 PM |

QUOTE MSI Teases GeForce GTX 780 Lightning Some More In the run up to its 7th August launch, MSI GeForce GTX 780 Lightning got teased by the company's Europe office some more. Adding to the abstract "I can hear thunder" video presentation from earlier this month, MSI posted three new pictures. The first one depicts the "Lightning" engraving onto the cooler shroud. The second one reveals a new GPU Reactor module that isn't an unforgivable color mismatch this time around. Lastly, there's one that gives us a glimpse of its cooler, particularly its fan, which borrows a few design ideas from NVIDIA, and its metal fan hubs in use since GeForce GTX 690, GTX Titan and some other reference design boards. ![]() ![]() ![]() Source : http://www.techpowerup.com/188151/msi-teas...-some-more.html |

I got one question about the GPU boost 2.0, how does it works? Overclock by user? Or they automatically increase the clock speed while gaming or they got some utilities. I read quite a number of articles still don't get it.

GPU Boost 2.0 is basically a passive feature, you don't have to do anything. Go to the link below and skip to the GPU Boost part and try to digest. If you have monitoring/overclocking software like MSI Afterburner or Evga Precision, you can see clearly how much the Boost clock is achieved. http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/...force-gtx-titan |

QUOTE(yoyoman @ Aug 1 2013, 02:53 PM) Thanks for the help! I get it now, if only have extra volt and it will have a boost No, basically it senses whether there is temperature headroom to "boost". That's why we have the default temperature target of 80 C, so the GPU will boost to a certain clockspeed until the temperature target is reached, and it will then throttle to that speed. Reference GTX 760 runs at 980 MHz with guaranteed boost up to 1033 MHz (you can see this from GPU-Z). But normally, you should be able to see the boost clock going higher than the stated 1033 MHz.The graph below is an easy way to understand how the boost function works. ![]() |
