the translation will probably be ready around a week later. Usually they'll do the translation afterwards

The veteran rewards doesn't need to to pay one lump sum to get the 90 days reward. If you pay month by month without any break, you'll get it eventually on your 3rd month of subscription. If you pay at once for 90days, you'll get it sooner. That's what yoshi-p is saying

Honestly I'm really unhappy with only 2 days early access.. went through so much trouble to pre-order and only 2 days of ea... man.. I think i'm gonna go cancel my pre order.

so it must be continuous? lets say i sub for 30 days then stop for a while, then resub another 30 days, will it count as 60 days?
*
This i dunno. since yoshi didn't mention whether it's accumulative( can stop and resub and days subed still count) or non-stop subs is needed.

Some of them said it is quiet normal about 3 days EA for MMOs. wink.gif

I didn't think SE would be so cheap to hype the game with pre-order, and early access only 2 days, since during the original 1.0, the early access was 5-7 days (can't remember correctly since it's so long ago.)

If that phial thing let you redo character on next login, I think it'll be able to change race since character creation include race. It's just my opinion though.

regarding which race have better armor wearing look, it all depends on your preference. I myself hate bulky look so roegadyn is out of selection for me. Although lalafell is cute, but their short dwarf like body for me is a nono as i think any armor won't show up awesome on them (I was a tarutaru in FFXI, same type of race as lalafell, and I remake after playing it for 6 months.)

I like miqote very much, however having head gears with 2 pointy ears like batman kinda put me off.

so.. in the end, i'll either choose hyur midlander or highlander lol.

Note: All the above is just my personal taste for reference.

Edit - forgot the Elezen race.. well.. it just means I don't like long neck race lol

Hey guys, I am still thinking to get this game or not. Seeing the thread goes until v8 I think it should be a good game @_@

Having said that, just wanna confirm some details before i purchase the game as the gameplay videos are REALLY limited.

1) First of, is this a fast paced game or slow ? Gameplay in GW2 is considered super snail for me and i hate exploring for hourss. I played Blade and soul & Granado Espada, these are a little bit fast paced game (in terms of movement, battle action, everything) to me and I liked them.

2) I heard Final Fantasy online games are kinda easier to get fully equipped is that true? Most of your play time revolves around raiding dungeon or grinding mobs for levels? or just keep raiding the same dungeon until u level up to proceed to next dungeon (like Dragon Nest)

3) How is the battle like? is it just like any other games - See the mob, whack, kill, proceed to next mob, or ??

I think thats all for now, thanks for answering haha.

1. FF14 will be considered super incredibly slow if you feel that GW2 is super snail. FF14 is design for players to explore the beautiful world and immerse in the story of the game. So from your first question, I do think you won't enjoy the game. (both game is very different. GW2, I only manage to play for 1-2 hours each day before it bores the hell out of me, until finally at lv30 I just spend US$60 and craft to max level, and after that, quit the game finding I have nothing to do at max level since I don't enjoy their pvp/wvw, or continueing their boring story mission lol. FF14 i can play non stop and wish that I don't need to go toilet or eat. GW2 quest imo is all copy paste, all new map are boring places since will be doing same thing. FF14, well actually it's also like that however, dunno why, but each different maps gave me a new feel and I'm really motivated to keep doing quests non stop.)

2. I didn't know where you hear this from but I think It's not that easy. FFXI was super hard to obtain best gear, FFXIV 1.0 is moderately hard. FFXIV ARR 2.0 which is the game we're discussing now, not sure. From experience in beta, getting normal dungeon gears will be easy i guess, but perhaps end-game gears will be hard (hard in the way of grinding and luck on looting? not sure since we can't experience end game stuff in beta). And yes, you can keep raiding dungeon for levels. However, that's not effective. There's story quest, side quest, FATEs, dungeons, grind mobs, hunting logs, class quest, leves(special type of quest) all helps in getting experience to level.

3. battle is tab target, whack, kill, next mob type. only difference with other typical mmo is almost all skill share the same CD. e.g you have 4 skills, you use skill A, all other skill will also be in cooldown for 2.49sec. There will be equips that lower skill cooldown or spell cooldown.

summary: you won't like the game if you want a fast pace battle/level to max game.

a question I wanted to ask.

Q. does that "Remember Square Enix ID" check box work for you guys?

even though I ticked it. It always "untick" when I reopen the launcher. This started since beta phase 3... I'm wondering whether it's due to me changing to SSD or it's been like that for everyone
