Those of you that kept attacking the 50kg difference is fake but you all can't even point what makes the difference. How come none of you ever take the initiative to check with MMC technical staff that has full access to Lancer GT & Lancer GL in depth to find out if so curious to prove it? Is it that you all already knew the 50kg difference and do not want anyone to spread this issue?

Lancer GT '07-12 kerb weight 1385kg
Lancer GL kerb weight 1335kg.

Taking other cars kerb weight to compare with differences:
Honda City 1.5S 1140kg vs City 1.5E 1160kg = 20kg difference
- no paddle shift / got paddle shift
- 15" rim / 16" rim
- exhaust pipe trim
- side mirror signal
- leather steering wheel
- both got split fold

Nissan Latio 1.6 low spec 1142kg vs high spec 1152kg = 10kg difference
- no split fold / got split fold
- no wood trim / got wood trim
- fabric / leather
- both using same tyre and 15" rim

Inspira 2.0E kerb weight '11 1335kg, current 1345kg vs 2.0 premium 1350kg = 35kg/ 25kg
- 16" rim / 17" rim
- fabric / leather
- less accessories / more accessories
- no bodykit / with bodykit

Difference between 2010 Forte 1.6EX 15" rim vs 1.6SX 17" rim kerb weight berapa? Also not much gap like others.

As you can see, the difference including bodykit ain't that much difference after all. How come only Lancer GT difference so big? There is the Lancer GLS, despite with big rim + full bodykit also no where close to 1385kg. You can't explain do you?

U did explain already about the 50kg lgt rear metal bar, so why do we need to explain else? Are u trying to.tell.me that 50kg rear metal.bar of lgt does not exist?

Seriously we did take initiative to check the difference..
We compare everything but in the end u told us the service manual cannot be trust la.. The website wrong info la..

We even weight the rim. 9.8kg stock inspira vs 12kg lancer GT. 2.2kg diff x4 = 8.8kg diff..
we compare inspira from website 1350kg vs 1360kg lancer gt.. 10kg diff.. But only found out website not correct.

But now u blame us no take initiative go figure out the diff. We even have the part number check same.

How the hell we know the only one correct is from Thailand Brochure?? Thats why we are seeking u to give us the part number for the 50kg metal bar.

I would rather weigh the vios on a scale to show its lightweight and durability.

Service manual mostly would take the most common spec and its purpose is to provide you enough information to get your car service. Anything else out of it, depends whether carmaker willing to give further details.

Your comparison is based on the newer detuned Lancer GT 2013 (probably nothing more than GLS) rather than the original Lancer GT. Mind you, the Inspira premium comes with added bodykit + larger rim at 1350kg is still 35kg lighter than Lancer GT 2007-2012. Is this good enough to spot the difference?

You can check with MMC technical department on the original Lancer GT '07-'12 with kerb weight 1385kg for full details. No point you keep making noise here.

I already tell you i did a fren's car .. 2011 Lancer GT . NON INSPIRA .. is having the same MAP as an Inspira .. but ur "Source" is only saying 2013 Lancer GT is being detune ...
