You didn't know, Hyundai-Kia engines are developed with assistance from MMC-Chrysler? You didn't know Forte is based on the Lancer frame too? That is why it has the higher middle centre on the floor rear. If Forte is not based on Lancer platform, they would have made in flat like in the newer Elantra and Cerato floor. Torsion beam doesn't take as much space as Multi-Link. What makes you think the Koreans out of nowhere get all the tech? MMC currently focus on selling tech rather than cars. They earn more from doing so compared to risk losing in selling cars.
