LOL....

Blackwood I never use before so dunno how good but should be ok I guess.... but I prefer the ingredients in Eaglepack loh..

My dad used to feed each dog 1 egg a day. We hard boiled it coz eggs you dunno how long they keep or what the chicken carry... so when cooked it is safer.

Raw meat, I only get those ready packed specially for dogs.... coz fresh and already minced and mixed with a whole lot of stuff... costly for big dogs but good for small dogs lah. Always get meat from butcher... those supermarket meats contaminated wan, not fresh... I fed my dog and she had diarheaa...

Egg shell, you need to sun it dry, then pound into powder or put in a blender. My dad did that last time when we fed home cooked food.

Dogs like garlic in their food. That is why many holistic and super premium dog food contain garlic. Of course cannot too much lah... or dog can get blood disorder if too much garlic.

Dogs love home cooked meals... but I certainly seen results with raw food on my CKCS... her mouth clean clean hahaha... poo also smaller.

Cannot afford to feed big dogs... and also no space in freezer for raw meat for 4 dogs....

what;s the amount of the meat , meat alone and not RMBs ? do you give them the puree made of veggie+fruit ?
*
My friend produces her own raw meat mix... so it contains garlic, oil, vegies and bones... all minced so it's safe and my dogs love it! Hahah... Today just fed my dog lamb mix... maybe next week I try give duck mix and fish mix.

no lar grapes little bit only like 1 or 2 only...

ya chicken head is actually good according to people...

the dogs tend to grow abit bigger and more healty as well as muscular...

my friend fed his dog chicken head and when grow up like much bigger than dogs of his breed...
*
Har? Chicken head can meh?

I think it's good if we give organic bones, well, you know those big commercial farm chickens... all got hormone injection... not so healthy for our dogs to eat the neck and wings....

Rm500? That's the price of a labrador with no cert... not a GR with no cert.... A GR with no cert, if lucky can maybe get Rm800 or RM900... but seriously, these dogs cost about Rm1500 for a good one.

Be aware that these dogs can get joint problems when old age or can be born with deformed hips.

i have a question. hope u sifu's can answer me smile.gif

its regarding GR b**** (female dog). im planning to get a GD soon but im quite scared of cleaning their "monthly" which is twice a year rite? is the amount large?anyway to overcome this fear? dont ask me to choose a male or spay it pls smile.gif i was told by my frens, there is pampers for them. is this true?

pls help... just wanna do more research before i buy her.

p/s: any reputable GR breeder out there? i dont quite trust pet shops....
*
Well, if you do not want to spay... then get the doggy pants. Do not go for the cheap ones.... I bought 1 and it doesn't work well. So now i use old underwear, cut a hole for the tail and tie it with rubber band.... cheaper hahah.... and more effective.

Anyway, there is the season diapers. More like pants lah. Then there is also dog sanitary towels that you can slip into the pants.

GR breeder... if you want a reputable breeder, best is call MKA and ask questions.... I do know 1 breeder... not the best but he is truthful and gives a nice price.

Well, spaying a dog won't cause any problems.... I got a labrador, spayed female and she is living a healthy life... same as my castrated male boxer... I have another female CKCS and will spay her soon. Saves the trouble and accidental breedings...

Anyway, they come in season twice a year.... around every 6 months but some dogs every 8 months.... so it's around there. The bloody discharge last for 2 weeks. The 1st few days just a bit but later it gets quite messy. Then the 2nd week everything will lessen but still noticeable. Also.... the female dog cannot come in contact with male dogs around 3 weeks frm the begining of her cycle.... there is a risk of pregnancy around her fertile time. During the season, the female dog can become manja more... her genital area swell and she may try to find a mate. If neighbour got male dog that is not nuetered... then... hahhah.... it can be a bit noisy since the male is attracted to the heat odour and will try to mate with the female even if it means climbing the fences. Last time I had a female mongrel and when she goes on heat, my male dachshund becomes crazy. He would dig holes and once he did the most stupid thing..... He squeezed thru the gate bars and got stuck very badly. My dad had to saw the gate down to set him free...

i was told by someone that GR is SUITABLE to be kept in apartment......
i ask him y, he said that GR is very obedient, quiet, not yappy.......
but is it really true?? the size so big, i think need exercise a lot wor....
*
GR not suitable loh.... coz he size.... yes, they are not yappy but need lots of space to excercise. My mom's friend got a GR, loves to run and make alot of mess for fun... I think if the GR were to be in a small room, it won't be happy at all....

Hahah... my lab is trained to sit at the back of Renault's Kangoo.... but she knows how to sit in Iswara.... but she can get confuse... one time my friend opened the Iswara's trunk/boot, my lab just jump in and sat there coz she thought same like Kangoo... hahahah... it was such a funny sight that my friend and I couldn't stop laughing.

My lab is 7 years old... not that hard lah. Just bring along some treats, offer treats as it enters the car.... then ask someone else to drive or do not drive at all but sit next to your lab and calm her down.... practise this a few times and sure one day can sit in any car.

Muzzle.... labs can have long muzzles... as long the overall look is squarish. A lab's muzzle cannot be too short or too long... just right would do. Also, not all labs would look like show dogs.. some do have snippy muzzles even if they are purebreed.
