Hi Guys,
This morning at 730 am i was prompted to download the new firmware by my phone so I downloaded it using my data (3G). Never once did the download got interrupted or shown any issues. After installation, the phone hand at the Samsung logo and wont load.
At 11am, I sent it to the Lowyat Samsung Service Center.
First, the guy at the number ticket counter told me that me its known issue that download update over wifi/3g is unstable and can cause issues so we must use KIES. No one ever told me that as all my previous updates were done via wifi/3G. Got a feeling that if I told him I updated over KIES, he would have told me the opposite. I didn't want to waste my time talking to him.
When my number was called, I explained to the CS lady again. She was more friendly and told me that they will try to flash it but no guarantees. She said its known the new firmware is unstable (unstable official firmware, great!). If they can't flash within an hour then it could be hardware issue. As my phone is no longer under warranty, I will have to pay.
Now patiently waiting for 12pm.
Back in February, I had a similar issue and they had to change the motherboard but it was FOC due to still having warranty.
But why do I have to pay for Samsung's own mistake?
I have the exact same damm issue now... the phone cant detect my sim card at all..... everytime like this when updating software.... the last time aso same like ur case motherboard KO because upgrade software.... arrrrgghhhh tensionnyer....
