erm... make sure you read the tered
u need to flashings the supersu again, don't want you to go belly up and random fruitloops mang
gapps 4.2.2 seems stable and i dare not flash the supposedly 4.3 one
LOL

anyways with the news that HTC is / might / most probably going belly up with their first loss whilst PLASTIC phone maker samsung and soon-to-be-maker Apple is making tonnes load crap of money by the tanker load, i think HTC should just close shop and make aluminium accessories LOL

i wonder how those HTC guys and fans are going to feel bad with their predicted press release: (warning, htc fans might be hurt)

Nothing personal against HTC, they used to be the top Windows Mobile phonemaker and I used to have one, and also lusted after the high end models. However after Android arrived, they seem to have dropped the ball.

I just don't like their current models that do not have expansion based on some flimsy excuse that doesn't even make sense.

And our friend is going to become a *pacifier* I'm sure you will be sniggering away Alex.

Department of Paranoia:

Let us now go back to smoke signals and torch beacons atop towers.

http://www.technationnews.com/2013/07/30/n...l-and-amd-chips

....The reasoning behind all this is very simple. To the NSA Hacking would be preferable to Cracking. For e.g there are some encryptions that not even NSA would be able to crack using conventional methods. The AES 256 bit encryption would require the power of roughly 10 Million Suns to crack on current TDP. So how would a security agency like NSA get the information? Obviously not using the conventional channel. Pay a fortune to make a Genius find a Zero-Day in the encryption? Maybe. The most practical course of action would be to simply get the information before or after encryption/decryption, and that is exactly what Mr Blank is claiming the NSA does......

I thought they were supporters of root?
TEH C siew dai thank you.
*
They are, but it seems there's some philosophical shift going on, I've only given it a cursory glance. The stance seemingly is build more APIs to hook stuff so you actually don't need root to do the stuff you need root for today.

Valid point, although I think it will be a long road.

BTW wad exactly were you trying to say with your 2nd sentence there? Sorry my Chinese comprehension not too good.

The list of C reminds me of a drink I frequently order in kopitiams, Teh C or tea with evaporated creamer, as for siew dai means less sugar in Hokkien.
*
Oh haha I like Teh C too, I order that regularly. Cantonese is "min tim". I will also add evaporated milk to coffee I make in the office.

4.3 is continuing with the architectural changes started from 4.0.1

So this TRIM feature in android 4.3 is capable of speeding up our phone? biggrin.gif
*
I haven't read up TRIM with regards to Android, but if it works like TRIM on SSDs, then it will only speed up your device IF you have filled up all your space with NON compressible stuff like mp3, mp4 or zips, this frees up the space properly so the eMMC chip can work like new again.

amazing le... the battery life please monitor and check... i think its TW level and hands down kicks the asses of those AOSP 4.2.2 CM users rclxms.gif

why XZU i don't understand

its not ergonomically sound.. holding it cuts into your flesh

Alot people went over meh.  hmm.gif Maybe will end up like noobi.
*
XZU IMHO has a flimsy feel due to the slimness, and its angular shape. Like baronic 's iphone 8 case tongue.gif

Otherwise it is a great device if purely for the screen, and maybe Stamina mode...

Do we really need eight core processors?
http://www.androidauthority.com/do-we-need...ht-core-250558/

With Samsung upgrading its Exynos 5 Octa to make use of all eight cores at once, and MediaTek recently announcing its own true eight core processor, it looks like octa-core processors could soon become the new norm in high end mobile devices. But do we really need all those cores?
.......
According to sources inside Taiwan’s handset supply chain, this is the main reason why handset manufacturers won’t be rushing out to build eight core devices with the current technology. They simply don’t see any performance or power consumption improvements over existing quad-core chips, yet are likely to be more expensive. Supposedly, quad-core devices will continue to be the mainstream over the next 1-2 years.

==============

Until they solve multithreading and cache coherency, I believe this will be the scenario for the next 1-2 years. You can of course get bragging rights but probably at the expense of SOT.

Thank u nice article. I like Anand's deep dives. See he is saying the same thing I've been saying all along. You hold a computer, not a phone. What's being done is exactly the same as what's done with pcs. I see nothing to accuse here coz it shows we can max the gpu to 533mhz safely. We all want max performance don't we.
