QUOTE(Baronic @ Jul 16 2013, 03:29 PM) btw i havent flashed a rom in 2 months. i wanted to flash a random rom, then read joy test's warning (BTW good work man i didnt even realise about it if i didnt see what u wrote regarding rom warning). and im seeing a LOT of people having radio problems (no signal) after flashing rom. were they noob (never read) or is this a problem? scary shit. is this issue only with TW roms or is AOSP / PA also affected. AOSP, AOKP and PA dont seem to mention any base but i still see people saying their radios arent workin I think this affects TW ROMs, but according to antt00 some AOSP stuff is also affected coz possibly some RIL settings are messed up. In the case of TW, the EFS partition was changed, so old modems don't work anymore.

QUOTE(((Xa))0102 @ Jul 16 2013, 11:09 PM) Say hi to my new toy. The Note 2 feels so much premium in the hands. I'd say Samsung devices looks much more premium while LG feels much sturdy when held. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I'm surprised too at the words "Samsung" and "premium" although I couldn't care less Is that the LG 5" device...G2 or G Pro or something? QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jul 16 2013, 10:50 PM) Since the last Watsapp upgrade, I notice that it is always on awake mode (battery info) and the CPU is running background. It also constantly send me notification when I am not connected to wifi/data. No useful details under setting. Anyone of you face this issue? How do I solve this? Thanks Don't seem to be any way except a reboot or plug in to charge. That's the fsync wakelock isn't it.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jul 17 2013, 12:07 AM) Oh sorry. I meant the Watspp application is now constantly awake, not the note 2 Not using any wakelock. 2 days usage, setting > battery > watsapp shows 14% CPU total 32 min CPU foreground 14 sec Stay awake 1d 9h 27 min 37 sec How to disable the 'stay awake', but get notification of incoming message? Install BetterBatteryStats see post 12 to show u wakelock details. It shd be the fsync whatsapp wakelock. Either run task manager and clear ram or reboot.

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Jul 17 2013, 12:20 AM) Vega No 6 , version K , LTE supported . Wanna try it ? PM me , i wanna get back a N7100 , annoyed with N7105 , nothing to play . Cons of each phone Note 2 1 - S-PEN !!!! 2- Very good battery life 3 - Lots of ROMS and Kernels + tweaks 4 - A change to stalk alexng2208 so he knows how antt00 feels Vega no 6 1 - 5.9" full HD 2 - 13mpx 3 - 32G internal I've been contemplating a 6" device seeing that rumors of the note3 at 5.7" seems underwhelming. However nothing beats the s-pen! Extrapolating from the s4 screen replacement price, note3 replacement screen will be at worst 900, WITH Wacon digitizer, AND cheaper than an XZ screen still..so I believe I will take a note3

QUOTE(((Xa))0102 @ Jul 17 2013, 12:39 AM) Haha ty. My Note 2 will still be my workhorse as no other phone can provide such stamina for long durations of continuous usage (apart from single core iPhones) You might be also interested in its graphics performance and benchmarks. Lemons and oranges are both sour. It's just that lemon is the more sour one. When it comes to contrasting between the two brands, Samsung is the clear winner in finishing and looks. This is the Optimus G. The G Pro is just a cacat version of the Note 2 so I'm not getting it. N7105s are really boring. Lesson learnt, always buy the international variant. I can see my N7105 feeling jealous towards my other 2 N7100s and especially the i9300/i9100 because of the huge number of developments over XDA. Yes, the G Pro is the same screen size with FHD screen but nothing else. Just another phablet. I would say Lesson Learnt is get the model with the largest amount of dev support. Now the S4 LTE is having a larger dev base support since Samsung has to date still not played nice with dev teams by withholding Exynos source. I think Exynos will die a natural death since Samsung Semiconductors still hasn't gotten their act together on the design, although their fabbing prowess is second only to Intel.

This is a nice article in a sort of response to one by Cult of Android's Mike Elgan yesterday http://www.androidauthority.com/what-do-yo...improve-243878/Summary. Mike's article pointed out that a "Nexus option" will be the best thing ever and swapping between, say TW and GE should be a no-brainer. This AA article now says it's not just TW/GE but rather other things like Battery Life and Camera. Interesting read, and interesting comments.

Some guy in HK already has an XZU, I believe we will very soon have some reports on how that screen digitizer technology works. The writing samples in the XZU thread weren't that fantastic.

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Jul 17 2013, 05:05 PM) Got Air View with Mouse Hover function? If dun have, it fail. Actually Xperia Z Ultra is kinda fail product. No pen built in. No air view (probably). Corner is very sharp. No flash for camera. Sony design really fail. Haha. What you mentioned, although negative, is not necessarily a fail IMHO. The REAL fail, from what I have seen so far, is poor palm rejection. Observe in EVERY video they've released showing pen/pencil/stylus/FINGER use, the palm is AWAY from the screen. Please try note taking for 3 minutes with your arm held up away from the screen.

QUOTE(remonx @ Jul 17 2013, 05:21 PM) Imagine yourself you can take pictures when swimming in the sea or perhaps play music in your bathtub while not worrying your device is vulnerable to water. AWESOME. You can browse the XZ thread. Some have done it and ended up happy. Some have done it and ended up paying for replacements. It's sealed by small flaps, and the chance of having it loose is there. Uncle benny also concurred that there have been several cases of water ingress despite user having sealed it. And coz It's a Sony you have to Make.Believe the repair/replacement costs.
