Hi guys, seeking some advice on an upgrade for my PC.

Currently specs

Intel i5 2400
Intel H-61 motherboard with only SATA II
Sapphire Radeon HD 6870
GSkill Ripjaw 16GB RAMs
WD 1TB HDD

I do have a plan to upgrade the CPU, GPU and MOBO in the future (2 years) but for now, I'm thinking the best stop gap measure to improve performance for gaming is an SSD.

My concern is the SSD storage space, definitely can't use it for my Steam library. Maybe only for games I'm actively playing.

So gonna use it for Windows and maybe some games. So I guess the best is about 120GB instead of those 60GBs right?

Is it worth the upgrade? I mean paying RM350+ for faster Windows start-up, general computing and gaming.

Crucial MX100 256GB is only 99.99 on Amazon now. Is this brand/model any good?

Anandtach reviews says nothing bad about it and recommends it. Just wondering if its cheap for some reason?

Some update on SG SSD prices.

Samsung EVO 250GB went as low as SGD152 which translate to RM383, normal prices around RM400 or SGD159.

Samsung EVO 120GB is now SGD88 or RM221.

Cheapest 120GB SSD is Kingston V300 at SGD80.90 or RM203.86

Prices are dropping every month or two. I think by the time Black Friday, we may see prices below USD60 for 120GB SSDs.
