in terms of speed between the two you mentioned, Samsung Evo even without RAPID mode beats it flat nod.gif

but V300 have more endurance than TLC based Samsung 840 Evo

extremely good pricing you got there, mind sharing the 240GB pricing? brows.gif

Here you go storm88 aka tech armory are having promotion now, oh well saves me the trouble for going pc fair nod.gif 240gb priced @rm545

it's not a silly question. the larger the space, the more apps/games you can store. this way you do not need to uninstall old games to fit new games so frequently (i.e. help reduce writes/erase cycles). for instance, bf4 with the two dlc's are now 34.7GB. when you delete it to fit new games, your ssd is 34.7GB shorter in lifespan. furthermore, you can allocate some space for over-provisioning purpose (for performance). imo 120gb is just good for OS drive, plus some apps. to store games, it will quickly run out of space.

l see, guess gonna pain my wallet for 240gb doh.gif cant buy ram after this sweat.gif

well yeah that's the most common constraint :/

however, i still think it's worth while to save a bit more to get 240-256GB range. that range is the sweet spot for now imo. (much better performance compared to 120GB drives)

Superstition: l suppose ssd keep your system healthy also? my rig build in april 2013, suffering from totally random bsod/freezing all the while, my gf pc with a ssd build earlier than mine doesnt really have this kind of issue icon_question.gif

it's pointless because you can only save like 20gb of space. (half the size of one new game?) with hdd, you can do that by using hibernate to speed up the access to windows but that only solve boot time issue of windows, other apps are still slow. (well, unless of course your apps are all games biggrin.gif)
*
My rig mainly for gaming only, no other apps needed brows.gif guess l would still need to go 250gb, enjoy a while 1st before purchase a 2nd one nod.gif

Do you runs anything or copying huge files when you saw that value?
