QUOTE
A drift is where you are already sliding before the apex of a corner. A power-slide is what you generally see on Top Gear (a UK motoring entertainment program) where a motoring journalist mashes his foot on the ‘go’ pedal when exiting a corner shouting “powaaahhhh”.

http://animepicks.co.uk/2012/01/drifting-%...ng-it-sideways/

QUOTE
Sliding: A state where the tyres lose grip and slide. Power-sliding is considered a controlled slide, is usually done with a RWD car and the direction the vehicle is traveling in can be controlled by throttle input and steering. Has little use in racing as the vehicle generally loses momentum. Mostly seen as entertainment, both to watch and to do.

Drifting: All four wheels have grip, but the angle of the vehicle as a whole is slightly different than the direction the vehicle is traveling in (resembles oversteer but with all four wheels having grip). Typically, a drift is characterized by the front and rear-wheels being at approximately the same angle, usually with the front-wheels turned in slightly more (front wheels turned into the direction of travel as opposed to opposite-lock in power-sliding). Direction of travel mostly controlled by throttle input alone, accompanied by minimal steering adjustment. This is considered as the fastest way around a corner and employed by many race-drivers in numerous disciplines of racing.

"Don't pandai² go and press the gas pedal when you having hard time to start the car". Sir YAB, regarding this, why can't geh? someone ask this.
*
Because even if the engine is not started, as long the key is in Acc/on, the throttle is responding to your gas pedal, and fuel WILL spray into your combustion chamber. The more air/fuel mixture flooding the combustion chamber, the harder you attempt to start your car and form a bad cycle until you drain your battery.

aint that power sliding ?
*
Power sliding - when you drive fast enough to make your rear wheel lose traction whilst front wheel maintain turning direction.

Drifting - your car is going understeer direction(buang outside), whilst your steering is counter from your turning direction. You control turning angle by using accelerator instead of steering action.

So, watch again from 1:22, it is drifting sleep.gif

just same like the initial D advice
*
With proper setup, front wheel drive can be drifted. However, front wheel drift can never beats the rear wheel drift's angle due to nature of power distribution and physically the car can never drift 45' or it will spin out. But it's good enough to just enjoy the side way feelings despite it's a front wheel drive. My car had those crap awhile ago eventhough I don't want it to, but now they're solved since the tofu beam fixed. Other than that, undercarriage being further strengthen by few extra Ular Cacing.

Raining is the key lar sohigh. Never watch intiail D meh? The S14 guy always said, 雨是我的战友. Reason we practice at rain because it will minimize tyre friction, so to create slide easily. Despite car is having less power, but the ease of losing traction on wet roads can bring a big smile on your face when you wanna power slide the car in a limited parking area. sleep.gif Good luck lar, I'm not your drifting instructor, so use my word wisely and don't take it as a whole.

YAB have always mentioned, wadebedapaq u mod to the car, add a paper cabin filter to absorb moist to avoid dust being trapped if the cooling fin gets wet.

user posted image

Unfortunately, there's 2 types of cabin filter to accommodate different cooling receiver(blower)

user posted image

If you're having this 1 pollen filter, you have no problem. Majority of the paper filter in the market can fit just nice

user posted image

If your pollen filter is this 1, you'll have to pay a bomb to get the right size. You may still use the usual compatible filter, but the filtration is less efficient due to excess clearance at the side.

So I went 5 bucks shop get an airtight sponge self adhensive tape. 1 roll 5 meters. Can use for more than 5 DIY paper cabin filter to seal the leak. I have recorded a video, please omit the conversations if you're not comfortable with it.

GOod Job!!!!

Im going daiso soon...

U think this mod can remove that eeeeeeeeee sound when on aircond due to the cabin air filter?
*
This mod is for those receiver box door open from the left, in order to fit the cabin filter. Not for those open from the right. If you add on sponge for those receiver box door open from the right, chances are your cabin filter kenot fit whistling.gif

For me, the filter sound is understandable. I know I have a filter in there, the filtering sound is a lively proof of what they're doing whistling.gif Someone previously show DIY remove several fin and stapple them together, claim that remove the Eeeeeeeeee filtering sound. Rest assured, the filtration power has greatly reduced, hence no sound whistling.gif

5 Rgt shop? Eg Those @Tescos??  hmm.gif Will go see... tongue.gif

ps. Yup, final product is similar to Zamco brand which has only 3 sides with sponge tape but thinner...
Yr this simple DIY mod is definitely much much more cheaper... rolleyes.gif

Hinode shop in Tesco does not have general house hold stuff. Mostly cosmetics & accessories. If you wanto use Hinode stuff, next time I do DIY video for that other thing. For house hold stuff/kitchen stuff/general DIY stuff, still better to go ACE Hardware(most expansive), Mr.DIY & F&C中国风(quality of the product is questionable), Daiso(still the same, made in Caina, but quality is made to fit expectation, otherwise the Nips is gonna make noise!). Last but not least, 100 YEN SHOP... I hated it because usually they open shop at ultra busy area, which you'll have to spend time find parking but you only get to buy some cheap RM5 stuff and later have to exit from the parking and drive to a bigger shopping mall.

Daiso nearest to you is Queensbay Mall. Usually Daiso available at AEON(Previously known as Jusco). So the next time you go Pg can drop by and grab 1 roll or 2. If got free time and go TT with lhwj coz he stay nearby.

Don't despair, I may just found a useful info for you. 100 yen shop is more likely the shop you can find similar house hold/kitchen stuff. Whether get the stuff you want or not, can swing by and get some special ice cream with Mr.zeone.
